confirming the game is about nothing but making isk.

Well is all depend view on this matter, over 6 years here and only around 5bil in general in my multiple assets, somtime i play months log without isk progres.

Op look at this from other perspective, you lose only some isk, you dont lose SP or general knowledge about game, some people lose two tech 3 cruisers on pvp very month, they never give up.

Another example Noob ship

Most Expensive Kills look at this site, look at these capitals and pods... it happens every day.

EvE isn't game, its style of living.

They didnt ask for the security until I was kicked, of course I know its a scam now, I thought he was just being helpful considering it'd be hard to get an orca AND hulk 30 jumps through null,.

Fortunately you don't have to go around with such a ridiculous corp name now, which is almost worth the isk Blink

I agree: nothing really scammy about this. OP just (allegedly) willingly gave all his money to the new age guru he found advertised on a pack of matches at a local bar. There's really no scamming involved in stupidity at all.

Whenever I do JF hauling or hauling in general with goods over 1bil+ i always ask for a API check with the hauler to make sure he can actually haul.

Sell four PLEX and you'll be right back where you started. Just think of it as saving you from having a crappy dinner at an overpriced restaurant.

EvE is supposed to suck.  Wait . . . what was the question?

I feel for you, I was recently relieved of 200 billion by a RL ‘friend’ that has been playing this game with me for 3 years, through thick and thin he was there, defending me, and I defending him. Over the holidays he absconded with literally everything he could contract to himself, canceled market orders to raid the wallet, and reprocessed anything he couldn’t sell instantly so he could sell it for the mineral value. I learned all this through his API in EVE-HQ while sitting in a coffee shop on holiday.

The lesson? Never trust anyone with all you own, no matter how sure of them you are, remember there is always a number that will make the betrayal worth it. Just do what you did to make it the first time, knowing the mistakes you made should make this time easier.

See I was trying to think of a way to say the same thing to the guy without coming across in the "you should have known better" manner.

If any corp asks for anything to join, tell them to go **** themselves, and tell everyone their corp is a scam. No legitimate corp would ask for a single isk, anyone says otherwise is apart of the scammers themselves.

If you join a new corp, NEVER fly anything expensive with them. No Battleship, marauder, ETC... just T1 BC and down.
If Indy, just T1 mining ships/transports.

Maybe after a few weeks/months you could fly a BS without anything but T1/T2 equipment.

This is the only game I've seen that can take advantage of new people (regardless what ccp says) or people that played alone majority of there eve career looking for companionship.

Dont trust anyone....even if they say you can....

This is the most valuable advice anyone can give you. Sorry for your expensive lesson in eve ripoff mechanics.

Trust is earned, not assumed or given.

Thanks for all the advice guys and gals, I should have known better, looking back on it I'm an idiot, I should have at least left the orca back, losing a hulk, I could have covered it,but oh well. back on the track to making isk I guess :)
