First off this isn't the first petition I've ever made. So I do know to be patient. However I have had one open 6-8 days now and no response. I was for a char transfer that went bad. I'm worried so much time has passed and ill get the wrong end of the deal. So is the dept on vacation or did they abandon us for dust bunny hand holding?

The petition system is overloaded with fluff from people who shouldn't be making petitions.

I apologize on behalf of the poor confused miners who are wasting so much GM time. They think shooting them is a EULA violation.

Highsec is owned by players now. Systems 0.5-1.0 are New Order Territory. All miners and other residents of Highsec must obey The Code. Mining without a permit is dangerous and harmful to the EVE community. See www.MinerBumping.com

CCP management have obviously increased the work loads of the DEVS who check the petitions, that will be the REAL reason for the lengthy responses, this has been going on since incarana.

The petitions, that are the standard highsec bears make; i bet these are the petitions CCP never responds too!

A lot of bitter players on here who seem to always blaim the new/carebears for congesting the sytesm, i bet the system is more compacted of 'pro' players who lose their ships to noobs and blame it on some anomoly or something like a node crash, when i was in null the other year alliacne leaders told all alliacnes members to file petitions for ship replacements.

The bottom line:
The problem is not the bears, but null sec and the players who live in cookoo land who seem to always blame the bears on these forums.

First, Devs don't handle petitions thats the GM job and their only job.

Second, they respond to every single petition, hence the wait.

And lastly, player age, location and chosen profession have no baring on bad time wasting petitions.

First I was meant to write GM but written DEV.
Second i have had petitions gone unanswer and then just closed in the past..
Third what does that have anything to do with it?
Fourth you forgot to mention why null sec alliance leaders encourange mass alliacne petitions when a node slightly freezes.

Nodes don't freeze in fights and haven't for a long time thanks to TiDi and I have never had that kind of order given to me. As for your unanswered petition, don't close them and they will be answered.

Probably varies but I had a ticket recently and they got back to me within a few hours, maybe sooner but I didn't check.

CCP is unpredictable. I've had petitions fixed within 1 hour before and taken as long as 2 weeks. Depends on when a patch/expansion was released and how lazy some the dev's are feeling.

I had a petition I sent in lately a few weeks ago.

It took 12 days until I finally got a reply.

Then I get some petitions which get answered and were the same type of petition it took only 2 days for an answer.

Thing is because Retribution was recently launched, you are going to get a load of petitions coming in.

It's most likely the expansions are increasing the petition times recently.

BTW: you also get a lot of trashy petitions, such as Hulk pilots get suicide ganked and are trying to get reimbursement, which obviously they will not because suicide ganking isn't against rules. its part of EVE.

Can I have a direct line to the Devs, maybe like a big red phone, so that my petitions can be answered immeadiately? If this isnt possible, maybe like a walkie talkie deal and we can both say 'over' when we talk to each other. What about a carrier pigeon system? OOOOH..better yet, how about we all just be patient and not run to the forums everytime a petition doesnt get answered in the first 30 seconds, mmkay?

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

My petition response time is 2-3 weeks. I don't worry about it cause it involves character transfers and those on average take 3 weeks. Yet the isk is always worked out.

Its harder for newer players but u get used to it like all the rest of it.

What are you doing shooting miners!? Isn't that a bit difficult for The New Order?

Now, more than ever, we need a dislike button.
