I believe that it is possible for new players to have a middle name (or according to some forums posts when i did a quick search). I have not made a new character in years and thus, i am not entirely sure as to what is available however i do not own a middle name and would like the opportunity to do so.

Therefore i propose the idea that:

- To create and amend a Middle Name / Nickname / Title, you must use Aurum.

I.E. Kailen "Red" Thorn or something similar. It may be possible to even arrange where you wish the extra name to be.

This will be a step towards adding features for the Aurum Store and promoting its use outside of Clothing.

While this is available through corp management to grant titles and what not, it does not have the visibility that this idea has.

I stand by the idea that names should not be changed due to creating e persona's within the game and people remember certain names. Renaming would be ruin reputations some names have gained, however adding the ability to slightly change this with a middle name will allow for further customization and promote the Aurum Store.

This would be something like a title.

Well I don´t care. Or at least I try to not care and ignore some title. If I wouldn´t ignore titles i would just detest peoples with title. Damn GDR-socialisation...

Like in RL a title would just be nothing more then an Epeen, so if you want so, buy it...
I would always prefer some fine robes, but it would be the same useless stuff.

Aurum is probably the dumbest idea for Eve since you never see anyones clothing, you see their ship, If they added custom ship skins, or whatever then I could see a use for it. Other then that it's pointless, and the exchange rates for the stuff is stupidly rediculous and over priced to begin with.

And RMT market like Diablo 3 has would be FAR more useful.

NEVER!!!!

Diablo 3 is programmed for the real money auctions, and is much worser then D2 or the real successor Torchlight 2. You can already do so with every online game, but it should stay banned like it is now because it would support P2W. Because instead of supporting weaker player most top players would just play to get the next payment.

You forget Most of the top players already play to get the next payment, Goonswarm, Test, Razor, AAA, and many many others are notorious for RMTing and Botting.

And they are the powers in Eve.

Do you have photographic, verifiable proof that supports this claim, or do you only have chance-heard rumor to support it?

I'm betting another 1m ISK, on top of the already-earmarked 5m ISK, that you do not. You have 24 hours to prove me wrong.

That's not a middle name, that's an alias AKA nickname AKA callsign. A middle name is a second name.

Thank you for clarifying that. Essentially that is what i meant, implementing the ability to buy yourself a Nickname/Title/Middle Name. I shall update the first post to show this.

And as the first poster said, if you don't want it, you need not buy it. Like the goggles i wear, i liked them and bought them, some people may not be so moved to buy them.

I personally would like the ability to add a title to my name, and using Aurum to do so would promote its use more so than what is currently available.
