Following the Blood expedition- no drop from final stage?

Finally got one of these that actually went to the end. The Corpii monk overseer wreck, however, was empty. Not even a tag + faction crystal like all the other stages. Is this just bad luck, or is the expedition so bad as to have an empty overseer at the end?

Just bad luck. Usually not empty but every once in awhile will be have had it happen several times on many different expeditions

It's pretty common. Escalations often have empty wrecks at the end. My first four powergrids didn't drop a thing.

However. Cargo scanners. Fit one, scan the overseer. You'll see what you're going to get. Don't like it? Come back after downtime. You can keep the last stage open forever if you initiate warp once every 24 hours.

Don't quote me on this but afaik anoms, sigs and other plexes (including missions) aren't "kept" through downtime, but are deleted and then recreated at the exact same place after downtime. So random stuff (drops) may change in the process.

Future of T3 cruisers - multi-tool they aspired to be instead of sledgehammer they have become

From what I know about sigs (and missions), that sounds like it should be right. Do you know if it works well on things like The Rewards of Devotion where you have to kill a structure to get the overseer to spawn? It would suck if killing the structure caused a warpout to de-spawn the expedition.

This would also be a huge advantage to players who are active across downtime; they could run a DED site, scan the overseer, if it's bad, do it after downtime.

Bad luck, most would say. Smile I personally think it's been another stealth mod (nerf) to the loot tables, but what do I know... Last few AE4's I've run have cost me more in ammo and time than have supplied iskies.

Leaving a unfinished DED in highsec is invite for someone to nab it in meantime. If its 5 minutes before downtime you may have it live to after downtime.

But for lowsec and 00 stuff this is a most wonderful tip.

Leaving something open anywhere is an invitation for someone else to nab it. That's why this works with escalations: no one else can get there (unless you get scanned down) and you can keep it open as long as you'd like.

If you get a rated site off of an anomaly escalation you could of course do the same thing.

That works but it really is usefull only for expeditions for the reasons stated. If its not expedition - say bye bye to site with 90% for highsec and 50% for low sec. One of the reason why everyone and their granny flies all-in-one type of ship now.

Yeah, I've literally seen a sig spawn as I was scanning something else, no one else has probes on dscan, and someone warped in to a 4/10 as I was entering second room. It's insane how overscanned HS is.
