Watch out!

I have a dust bunny. He can stand facing an opponent for 20 minutes firing an AR and not hit ****. DUST bunnies aren't going to be taking any of Gogela's spaceships in the foreseeable future. Promise.

Edit: I'm killing in Halo 4 at about 5:1 atm... in dust? If I break even it's a firickin' miracle.

I thought it was me.

I really thought it was my nerve problems and I just couldn't use the controller well enough.
Then I fired up Black Ops 2, crushed. MW 3, crushed. PS2, crushed.

Then I jumped back in Dust, WTF. What exactly is coming out of the barrell of my gun, and why am I so bad?

I'll say this though. Black Ops2, head shot you say, ROFLMAO!! You mean head shotS? Right? Treyarch are a buch of morons; give CoD back to the real infinity ward for god sakes.

Its better for their marketing though to call them 'expansions' and release them every 6 months.

I agree with fixing what you have before releasing new stuff 100%, but why nerf the venture?

"hard to scan, fast aligning, +2 warp strength frigates that suck gas better than BC's and have a larger hold + faster to train"

isn't that EXACTLY as CCP described the ship when they notified us that it was coming?, isn't that EXACTLY what they told us to expect?

I'd say leave the venture alone.. maybe make the training multiplier a little higher like 3 instead of 2, but that's it and after all the other changes made to frigs that resulted in the venture taking their places, messing with that ship now is just st00pid.

I would say the next big expansion needs to take the suggestions from the people that live in 0.0 and revamp the whole thing. Stations/slots, POS, Mining, Industry, Production, everything. It needs a conflict driver besides moons. Farms & Fields, the works. When 0.0 erupts in war then highsec pubbies are happy because their ore is worth more, their products are worth more, etc. Make it so.

I know why, you play since 2006, veterans like you spent more time on forum than in game, or they spent a lot time in game while ship spining, chating with friends, waching floating ships in zombe mode etc, these days i got similar problems, its not EvE problem its our problem, but is natural, dude we play 6 years long, in some cases after 6 years its realy hard to find your self inside EvE.

Ps. Here no big upcoming changes or features for veterans, like few years ago here only soon tm, in fact every even small projects, features, plans, decisions take years for CCP, you shoud know this and you should be accustomed to this, espetialy after 6 years.

Cheers.

EvE isn't game, its style of living.

Halo's easy. Cool

j/k.. Lol ..but actually, if you wanted to compare the two:

Halo is basically a closed map, limited environment with precision aiming and very colorful characters last I checked. The maps are closed corridor, balconies, killing floors, etc.. or canyon killing environments with long range visuals, "king of the hill" style control points, and simple spawning where you start at one end of the map and attack down range.

..my experience anyway; it has been awhile though.

Dust is far more open, larger maps, much more difficult terrain, and many control points and spawn points. You can effectively be engaging enemies from all sides, and often are. There is also much greater depth in character skill vs. player skill, and you can choose from a wide variety of specializations, mixed armor and weapons, and more.

..but you know this.

I'm terrible, to be perfectly honest, but even I can shoot someone without missing provided I'm on target. The issue, is that my hits don't often have much effect. I find I drop a 30 round clip and miss 90% of the time because the silly buggers are dancing and hopping all over the place until I run out of ammo.

Either that, or they just 1-2-3 shot me before I get my sights on them. Often enough, that's exactly what happens. One shot with a heavy gun, gatling'd, blown up by anti-vehicle turrets, sniped from long range, spawn killed, shot in the back by a guy who spawned 20 feet behind me.. you name it.

A lot of it might just be bad luck, but provided I am with a group of tactically aware individuals I seem to do very well. The issue is more when I end up, (all to often at more than 80% of my games), with a bunch of guys who try to snipe camp from extreme range, toddle around, or otherwise generally remain absent from the field of battle or too spread out to do any good.

Then there is the opposing teams use of multiple spawn points to surround and control with heavies, tanks, and assaults. Meanwhile, I've got a team that is basically running all over trying to stay alive and getting spawn killed 9 times out of 10.

Tactical advantage plays a big part, and a controlled team does far better than disorganized chaos unless the latter happens to have 5 tanks, multiple heavies, and logis running around. That is with or without voice comms. Personally, I don't generally need them, and never use them.

Stay with the group, work with them, and things will be much easier generally.

Also, make sure you get a red dot before firing; if you don't cover and get it, you're out of range.

From what I am gathering the last of the tech 1 subcaps are getting balanced out much sooner than originally thought.

Another new round of modules are making their way in.

The new BC and Destroyer skills going racial in the summer

More UI interfaces are being looked into for the summer expansion, current rumor is its industrial UI revamp.

More war iterations.

Armor modules getting re-balanced against shields.

Additional Dust 514 affixing but most of this is relying on dust 514 side for the moment.

Small rumor of another tier of destroyers getting added but nothing confirmed.

Starbase 2.0 was not rumored for summer 2013 but winter instead, we have no idea how much further along ccp is on this.

Last of V3 due by summer 2013 hopefully with stations star gates and capitals.

Possible new capital ship to unload the ever increasing demands on carrier roles off and returning the carrier to more of a drone/logi boat while the new craft will be more of an offensive support.

Fan Fest is currently eating and devouring rumor mill so anything of any importance is being hidden away until that time.

V4 project is also supposed to start however from what I am understanding it wont be phased a set of ships at a time.

Project 'Mordernize' is likely to be nailing all the frigates all at once very soon-ish along with another battleship.

That's about all I know and gathered all things subject to change.

Dust 514's CPM 1 Iron Wolf Saber Eve mail me about Dust 514 issues.

You know...
Everything exactly the opposite of what EVE used to stand for.

But who cares right, now we get to buy more cloths for our characters.

I didn't realise these roles didnt exist before Retribution

Now, more than ever, we need a dislike button.

Comments like these make me smile every time. Indeed, why should a company that is in business to make money follow the mistakes of another company that for the past 9+ years has had the largest paid MMO in history of gaming, beating the runner-ups by a factor of roughly 10x. Let's steer away from Blizzard failure and continue with the 10 year legacy of excellence in not breaking through the 500k sub barrier. Blink

I'm not saying we need "WoW in Space", but some folks need to be a little less bipolar about this. There's a very large middle ground between the two that could be insanely profitable.

EVE has done nothing but grow for 10 years.

WoW lost 2 million subs last year.

There is no middle ground, CCP & Blizzard are catering for 2 entirely different audiences.

WoW caters to what the majority expect from an MMO, casual gameplay and no long term consequences, in short it is quite a shallow game, but it appeals to many gamers because it is possible to play it casually with next to no risk.

Eve caters for those who like a game where there are consequences, and where long term planning lets you influence what those consequences are. It appeals to those gamers that like to really get into a game, use their imagination to provide their own content and are willing to take risks to win.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

I'm up for that. After they balance everything, take the old systems and make them good( Corp, Sov, PoS ) then they can introduce new things and repeat the whole process again in a few years!

Highsec will be the designated isk-farming zone while low/null will be EVE's arena.

Also, DUST will be ported to PC and sov change will require planetary district control when the console experiment flops and the rent is due. Big smile

Despite the fact your ship would stand out like a sore thumb, it would be very hard indeed to call you primary! I would have to save your furry hull till last...and even then i might just let you go Lol
