A nice but old idea. I'm still waiting for a keyboard where each key top is actually a display, and you can put any image there from the control panel. Until then, I'll stick with the regular kind.

Man, I remember the promise of the Optimus keyboard. I still dream of owning one of those. :'(

They already have a full OLED keyboard where every key is a display. You can expect to pay $2500 for one. Have fun.

Hey, these things will be much more affordable in future. I mean, look at the current tablets - 10" ones are quite affordable now? What's stopping them from releasing a keyboard-shaped tablet, with keys just appearing on the screen, and the screen overlayed with a little semi-transparent bump map to simulate the key limits. Don't even need one display per key, they can just keep it all as one screen. Should be quite possible, with a reasonable price point. Frankly I'm amazed it hasn't started yet.

Horrible. Just a slab of plastic, the touch and feel must be absolutely horrible. Nothing I've seen in the past couple of decades plus beats the good old Model M. Mine was manufactured in 1988 and it still works just like new.

So the caldari version would just be 1 button labeled F1?

I know sometimes it's difficult to realize just how much you spend on incidental things each month or year, but seriously, EVE is very cheap entertainment compared to most things... If you are a smoker, smoke one less pack a week and pay for EVE, with money left over to pick up a cheap bundle of flowers for the EVE widow upstairs.

I for one am glad to see that design come out, I remember the guys that have been working on an "eve" keyboard for quite some time now, and that one looks quite similar to the design they had a while back - so I hope they are a part of it.

I remember my old model M. Gotta love how tactile those are. And so damned sturdy! Took a while but eventually upgraded to a logitech.
