Give users the option to "open url in external browser". Lets face it, the in game browser sucks.

CTRL-C, Alt-Tab, CTRL-V

Come on guys, it's not that much work to do it. Why waste resources on something like that.
Let the Devs work on stuff that actually matters, please.

Sure in theory, if your not busy have 0 server lag and are not in a fight and need access to immediate intel or tools.

Hell I dual screen so I don't have to alt tab to access my external browser, but im still taking my attention away from the fight to access the tools, where as an option to open external browser from ingame would remove this giving me access to my tools without taking my attention away from the combat more than absolutly necessary.

If all of that is true, then youre committing suicide by opening an external browser anyway, since that would still minimize your EVE game and get you ganked...

I see no useful purpose to this. In game browser is fast an convenient and can be made into an unobtrusive window. External browser is better but requires alt-tab, but thats the same thing that would happen if you had it open automatically, so who cares?

As there already are ingame links that open in your external browser (View my Bug Reports), just add an entry in the right click menu of links.

Current:

Open Link in new Tab
Open

Proposal:

Open
Open Link in new Tab
Open Link in external Browser

Default should be open in IGB (or add an option in the settings menu of the IGB)

I've copied all URLs as TehCloud suggested, from day one. I don't trust any browser, I have no real control over.

you either haven't played eve multi screen before. or have been doing it wrong all this time. you can set the browser to one screen, eve to the other screen, and with the right settings, you can right click > open in OOG browser > click again without moving mouse. that will open the link in the out of game browser, leave eve up, and reselect eve so you don't die.

Many times i have wondered about the same thing, mostly on everything that needs flash. Like obviously youtube. Maybe to open the link in OOG browser in the background so it doesnt pop up all of a sudden. OR give you a warning ingame that an external browser is going to pop up and the client is going to go background.
