Why people are lazy creating their avatars...

Hmm, I think there is quite a bit variety actually.

As far as the character creator in EVE, if you complain about that, you'll probably have an issue with 95% of other games. Have gamers today become so jaded and entitled that they complain about...everything?

Mine is simplistic because the engine for it is so damn demanding. It takes far less computer power to fly my ship into combat then it does for me to change my avatar's face or walk her around the captain's quarters. I can't do it without horrible lag.

Being that flying a spaceship is more important than me sitting through an hour of struggling with an inefficient face customizer, I chose to go simple.

In-game there seems much less variety than what is presented on the forums.

I put a reasonable amount of time into crafting this visage but one must understand that it's something you basically only see/care about on forum posts and when I accidentally enable captains quarters once in a drunken blue moon. So, there's not a lot of drive to make it a unique, special snowflake of perfection.

Every time I go into the avatar editor, I lose an hour of my day. I absolutely love it.

Earlier today, the Dixon Mining Guild and the Butz Manufacturing Corporation formed a coalition.

It's hard to tell if there is a light at the end of the tunnel for the Dixon-Butz Alliance.

My avatars are a bit crap, but I spend a fair amount of time on the portrait since that's the only thing people appear to check out.
