Just a thought regarding pure PvP.

At the end of the day EVE Online is just that: a game. It's a competitive, adversarial game... but it is a game nonetheless. Winning is good, yes, but more important than winning is having fun and enjoying the experience.

At the end of the day, if your opponents do not have fun engaging you (ie; playing with you) - then they won't.

Just some food for thought.

Good Xuixien;

And not only that, if you don't have enough money to buy something you have to

a) borrow money
b) not buy it
c) steal it

Just an idea for everyone to consider.

Yep I'm stating the obvious. Had to, because it seems "common sense" just ain't that common.

Dear Queen of Rens :D

You didn't mention losing. Losing is never fun but it happens to everyone at some point. Knowing how to lose is one of the most important thing in this game, maybe in life.

But like you said "having fun and enjoying the experience," this is the middle ground of winning or losing, the neutrality of the war, the land in the midst of the oceans, the last remaining light in the darkness.

Whether I win of lose, I always give them a 'gf' in local. I find that I smile regardless of who won the fight.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

I think you are wrong... I've lost many fights I had a huge blast in. The last Amarr vs Gallente fight in OMS ended wtih the Amarr fleet mostly whiped out, but it was a huge blast and we'd do it again in a heart beat..

I agree that learning how to lose is important, and even moreso, learning from your losses is important. Realize that "winning" isn't everything...

Finally, in a sandbox like eve, there are many ways you can define "winning" and losing.

Have had many fun fights where I lost. I've also had some lame, boring fights (ie, when there's 3 of us and E-UNI drops 6 Griffins) where I've lost. I've also had boring fights where I won (ie, 20 vs 1).

Winning/Losing isn't the point.

Some people are so wrapped up in the "win" that they lose sight of everything, bringing blobs of ECM and logi to small fights. Hey guys, and you know who you are, people remember you, remember how you fight, and will decide whether or not to engage you in the future based on what you fielded in the past. Just some food for thought for certain people crying that no one will fight them.

You're forgetting the part where none of us are responsible for the fun of others?

If losing means no fun.. Get better and win... have fun?

What i'm saying is that i think the above mentioned thought is kinda silly.

i think this post is related to the Ushra'Khan fleet:

stabber fleet issue
stabber fleet issue
cerberus
maller

who fought the fleet:
maller
eagle
vexor

with the final U'K deaths:
2 stabber fleet issue
1 maller

and enemy fleet deaths:
1 vexor

and cries in local about bad pvp because 1 maller on the enemy fleet accidentally had ec-300 (the maller can hold 3 ec-300) which was for a different purpose in a fight a few days before. These 3 ec-300 apparently jammed out one of the stabber fleet issues making the fight a 3v3 instead of a 4v3.

On another note, the cerberus was firing scourge at the eagle pretty much the entire fight.

I also give them gf when my dual stabbed frigates escape. Sometimes I get some hilarious responses.

You know what your problem is? You cant have fun in this game. The honourable ushrakong alliance, the oldest one in eve has a TRADITION of firing the wrong ammo. They shoot Vengeances with fusion, and then switch to Merlin and shoot it with fusion too, BECAUSE THEY KNOW HOW TO HAVE FUN! You are just mad, that you have real friends, and not internetspaceshipbuddies who can jump into every fight by the dozens to save your ass. Twisted

Xui tends to troll real softly, but when simple confronted with her own lies, she quickly blocks you, thats HOW YOU HAVE FUN IN LOCAL CHAT. Silly noob...
