Questions about dust from a CEO's perspective

1) Do dust mercers count towards the CEO's skill for the corp size?

2) Are dust activities going to be taxable?
Meaning will my corp tax a dust player's income?

3) When a dust mercer wants to participate in a contract (like the ones currently shown but not accessible) does this dust member need roles to access the corp wallet?

4) What corp wallet division will contract collateral come out of?

5) Can I somehow specify which wallet division contract collateral comes out of?

Our friends at True Grit were kind enough to pass on some answers.

1) Yes
2) Right now the economies are separated so you can't transfer ISK between the games. However, we will be lifting the restrictions and when we do we will be looking at things like corp tax.
3) Only the CEO/directors can accept the FW contracts
4) All dust activities use the (hidden in EVE) Dust wallet division
5) no

Only Dust players with CEO/director roles can see these FW contracts ?

When will the Dust mercs be introduced with some article/live event officialy IC(In-Character), OOC (Out of character) we know about them, but IC it was speculation ?

Keep in mind open beta does not mean no NDA.

How in the bloody hell can a game have an NDA on Open Beta? I can't think of another game (that wasn't a total failure that the devs were trying to hide) that would do something as stupid as keep an NDA on for Open Beta. This is worrying.

Edit: On another note, IMHO the NDA should have been lifted before DUST ever touched the live EVE server. Dust bunnies can affect FW control on tranquility, yet we aren't even allowed to discuss anything about DUST? This makes no sense whatsoever.

Agreed

Having an open beta defeats the point of having a NDA. Either have the ******* NDA and keep it closed or remove it and open the beta.

Because CCP can totally control all the idependent Bloggers, Videos, Internal Chat between Corps etc etc etc.

Please advise the people working on this that "Directors and CEO's" only is a bad idea.

Contract manager should be able to accept/reject the merc contracts.

Agreed. This action by CCP appears to lack sound rationale.

This is bound to end well...

I've been following quite a lot of different forums and pretty much everyone of us playing DUST seems to be under the impression that the NDA is getting lifted on the 22nd. Unless you go out and actively start informing people about this there's going to be massive NDA breakage.

Hell, there's even a 24h child's play charity livestream planned and dust devs have posted in that thread so even they don't know the NDA isn't getting lifted.

Assuming that's what you were hinting at.

are you concerned that EVE players are going to ruin the DUST economy for kicks and scare off all the dust bunnies because it isnt on PC

I am not hinting at anything. I am just pointing out that one thing does not directly mean the other. Players from both communities should just be watching for news about it as I am sure when we do lift it we will announce it. Assumptions are bad. :)

If I owned a bucket (wich some would call an NDA), And i started pinching a million holes in it, while trying to keep the water in, why have the bucket there in the first place, since it clearly does not serve any purpose as it used too Ugh I agree on slowly gently slipping things into places. But now the cat is out of the bag, running around on the tranquility server, posting blogs about it and mjauing to all its friends about what is and what not. Wouldnt it serve a much greater purpose to collect the feedback from a non NDA enviroment at this point? I'm having a blast with the game, but you seem to be stepping alot on your own toes of late. Your like a group of scientists that we're trying to rip the blindfolds of, so you can understand what the playerbase is trying to tell you. "Lift the bloddy NDA, it doesn't serve any purpose any more. " Are you going to sue half of your gamer base if things go south? Is that the end game here? Lol J/K
