What is a "God" Toon?

OK misleading title but, having seen the term God toon being thrown around more and more on Character Bazaar, I thought I'd see if I could find out what people really considered a God toon to be.

To get the ball rolling...

Personally I would define a God Toon as one that was unbeatable in a specific field, e.g a Caldari God Toon would have to have all shield, missile, ECM and Caldari T1-T3 ship skills plus caps at Level 5.

But maybe I am unrealistic and old fashioned.

Scammers are currently selling killrights on this toon for up to 5mil, if you have paid for this service demand your money back at once.

Killing me should be for free.

In the old parlance, a God toon was a toon that had maxed out skill points.

IE Level 5 in *everything*

It's only possible with Dev Hacks or a large number of years worth of training!

Character bazaar. Gotcha.

In EVE there are no 'God toons'. I think we all know that.

The only thing that might make me a 'God toon' would be is if I had 5 trillion ISK worth of assets and I was willing and able, without getting meta gamed by alts, to pay to field whole fleets to destroy my enemy.

It's what people say when they're trying to sell a poorly skilled toon but don't want you to realize.

Next thing you know, they'll be asking for large donations of ISK to peek behind the curtain at the "sacred mysteries" and other "Acts of Faith".....

The goal of the character bazaar is to essentially scam you by making you overpay for a ****** char with too much mining/industry/production/PI crap mixed in. So by virtue of smoke & mirrors you call it a pvp God and highlight some decent level 5's while hoping they dont notice all the other trash you trained.

I dont know if anything would qualify as a God but the more focused ones are really nice. Like that dude who had all 40 gunnery skills trained. And focused logi, focused dictor, focused recon, focused leadership, capitals ofc. Then you can choose a char according to what you need/want at the time then branch out into whatever area you wanna go with the char.

PS: the character bazaar design/process as a whole sucks and needs a revamp tia gimme a market-like interface with customizable searches

All level V took somewhere on the order of 12 years of real time. Eve is 10 years old, I wonder how many characters are close to that without DevHax™.

Is that what it is now? I remember that other figure from a gaming article somewhere from 4 years ago.

Looks like you're closer than my remembered figure. I'll have to fiddle with EveMon a bit and see what it thinks.

"God" toon = egotistical d-bag who thinks more of his paper skills that he can actually put to practice in-game. Think EFT Warrior but on a larger scale.

I've seen terms like "Amarr PVP God" in the Character Bazaar and they usually mean "maxed out for x." Subject to verification, it's not a terrible term to use in that context, because it describes the character's skills, not the player's.

I have an alt that can fly nothing but Gallente capitals. It's an excellent Nyx pilot and a budding Erebus pilot (already has DDO 5, training Titan 5)

Pretty sure that I can easily label it as a "Gallente Capital ~~~~~God~~~~" and get away with it. Not that I'd sell it, of course!
