Issues, Workarounds & Localization

For the last few months, the client has frozen and stopped responding any time I attempt to either alt-tab or open the settings to change a video setting. I have dealt with it for a while, but its getting to the point where I really would like a solution to this. When I have the game in fullscreen, any time I alt-tab, attempting to come back in the game simply does nothing but show a small black box in the top left of my screen. I have found a work around to this by running the game in fixed window (it took me many tries to get the client to accept the change before freezing), but there are still instances when even minimizing the fixed window will cause the game to freeze. Considering there is no way to change video settings other than in the client, I can easily be completely unable to access these settings, given that the problem continues to persist.

I would not be surprised if this issue is related to Nvidia Surround, since nobody else I know has this issue and my three monitors is the only significant difference between them and me. If anyone has any insight to what is causing this problem, I would greatly appreciate it. It should be noted that this problem has persisted after reinstallation of the game and with different drivers.
