The problem with paying by annual subscription is that if CCP alter the game in a way with which you are not happy soon after your annual sub renewal, you are stuck paying for a a game you no longer wish to play until the sub period expires.

Yup, I am whinging about the new drone AI again.

I am also annoyed that CCP have turned me into a bitter vet, I never thought it would happen to me.

Still what do I know, I trained Gallente.

We all have our breaking point I guess.

For four years I used the subscriptions (mostly with 3 or 6 month runtime), after that I switched to plex but only because the ISK are so abundant that it doesn't relly register as an expense.
I wouldn't buy plexes ingame if I had to grind for ISK - rl money to pay for the game can be earned a lot faster.

Nah. Its good to be European. At least we dont live in country where 40% of its dwellers believe that earth was created in 7 days and lacks basic scientific knowlege. Bear

What realy sucks it that SOFTWARE companies rips off non US customers with their 1usd=1eur policy. And whats worse is that they advocate this pollicy that in US there is 1year waranty, while in EU it is 2 years.. What a bull****. We are buying software, not refrigerator or hairdryer. They are making fools from us. Evil

Annual subs come out at ~$12 compared to PLEX's ~$17.5.

If you're ISK rich enough, buying PLEX with ISK can become viable (it doesn't sound like you're ISK rich to that extent).

Nope not at all. I was just curious...it seems like even your hardcore gamers would have to spend some serious time grinding in order to play Eve for an extended time...I am not talking two or three months but say for a year.

When I want to PVE I can make about give or take 120-150M an hour, call it an even 200m if I pop my second account out. But it requires a lot of boring work, which is 90% of the problem Eve online has. The PVE sucks. I just pay for my account because I honestly can't be arsed to rat any more than is necessary to keep me in ships and ammo.

I'd scam but oops I accidentally put myself into a position of responsibility where I'm not allowed to. Also would you trust a guy named Vagrant? I wouldn't.

Pretty much this, I could afford to pay using isk from ratting but I really can't be arsed to what is akin to blowing your brains out over the keyboard so I just pay by card. CCP sort of the PVE you will save the Samaritans about 20000 calls a year.

I can pay for Eve with money I am just curious what is the best way to get more bang for your buck? Time cards? Buying directly form CCP? etc

Thank you! Big smile

EDIT: Botting is against the EULA and TOS for EVE and will get you banned from the game, just as promoting botting on the forums is likely to earn you warnings and a ban from here. Do not promote behaviours that are in clear violation of the rules - ISD Type40.

I've seen 17 dollar 60 day gametime codes. EA was selling them a few weeks ago through their Origin online store.

Seems to me like your real question isn't what the cheapest way to pay for your sub is at all... but what the easiest way to make ISK is... am I correct?

I can afford to plex 2 accounts because i have invested my sp to do so. I have multiple PI characters on each account who all live in WH's, I do a lot of invention and i shoot sleepers when the mood strikes me.

If you want to earn isk in your venture gas mining is probably your best bet at the moment. If you mine the 3 digit gases in a wormhole, you can get about 80 mil of gas in your ore hold. Admittedly, finding a C5/C6 wormholes could be difficult for people living in high sec.

I make enough to sustain 2 accounts and fly a few flashy ships passively through my market trading. Sitting in station is not required for small to medium income like that, you can log in once a week or less and still come out ahead.

That said you really need to play a while before these options are apparent.

No. The hardcore gamers just "come into money" magically being null sec pew-pew'ers. No high sec alts involved at all, just CTAs and piracy to make all of their money.

No, really: just read all the anti-high sec threads. So many out there that would NEVER deign to set foot in high sec, so it's all gotta come from Goonie payroll and mining their own tech moons in null.

Where else could they POSSIBLY pay for game time from???

I hope you realize that people farm sites in null sec to. Null sec sites are much better for grinding isk compared to their high-sec counter parts. There are many ways people in null sec make their money. But yes granted.... a lot of them would use high sec alts to do something.

Most people who can't plex within a few days pay the monthly thing.

Though personally it's a yearly sub for me, save around 50$ with that and I don't have to dump 600m into the trash every month.

Trading pays plex fast and efficient.
