Guided Missile Precision + Target Navigation Prediction

I'm doing some torpedo research and would like to know, how those two skills work in missile damage formula.
I went with:
Guided Missile Precision: -5% signature radius factor ---> +5% target's signature radius for computing purposes
Target Navigation Prediction: -10% for factor of target speed ---> -10% target's speed for computing purposes

Am I doing it right?

Guided Missile Precision lowers the missile's Explosion Radius stat. This stat affects how well the missile damages a target based on the target's signature radius. You want the Explosion Radius to be as low as it can get.

Target Navigation Prediction increases the missile's Explosion Velocity stat. This stat affects how well the missile damages a target based on how fast the target is moving. You want Explosion Velocity to be as high as it can get.

In your calculations, the two skills would appear to have more influence than they actually do in-game. This is because they alter the stats of the missile, not of the target. The changes are less noticeable.

You say it affects missile stats, but you can't see such effect in eg. increased speed of the missile, can you?
If I incorporate them as you said, basically changing explosion radius and explosion velocity to the missile itself, then I am more close to actual experience?

Yes, you can.

From the Fitting screen, you can Show Info on the ammo in the launcher. It will show the updated stats including your skills and ship bonuses.

You can also get this info from EFT. You can even mess around with skill levels in EFT so you can find out how good your weapons will be in the future.

Thank you Jacob, you've been most helpful! I have my own sheet including skills/rigs/hull bonuses and calculating damage projection vs. given target :)

And if you use EVEMon, you can do a skill plan for where you want to get, then export the character "after plan" into the EFT character file format, so you can see exactly how much your future you will kick today's you's butt. If case you haven't set it up yet, also know that EFT has an API import feature, so you can pull your present skills down with one click once your API key is set up.
