People of Liverpool, need some advice please.

Hello,

Next week I am thinking of leaving my comfort bubble of my house in Chester and go on a little tour around Liverpool. Albert Dock, some Cathedrals, wonder about a bit (with my map!)

Anyway, I mainly would like to ask what parts of Liverpool should I avoid? I will depart from Chester via train to Lime Street or Liverpool Central. At the moment I am looking to stay on 'Seel St. (which is a small walk from everywhere?).

So yes, where should I avoid in Liverpool?

Never been to Liverpool :(

I was in Chester just recently with my work, really surprised at how nice it was!! Plus plenty of pubs close by the hotel I was in which is always a bonus :D

Liverpool : Britains hairy ballsack that was crushed by the Iron Lady to keep the rest of the country in line.

Worked pretty well, everyone with money or qualifications left (including my mum) and Liverpool was depopulated. Visited my grandparents there many times, its depressing seeing so many abandoned buildings boarded up, but before the credit crunch (remember how optimistic we were back then?) hit they were recovering nicely. Haven't been back since the Depression began though...

Remember, the Beatels are a renewable resource and you will be reminded this walking through the docks, high street, museums ect, and as you are from Chester you don't need me to tell you that football is not to be discussed unless you know which team everyone within earshot supports.

tl;dr

Detroit and Liverpool should compare notes.

Not too far removed from This, just perps without the tans.

I used to service that area and on one occasion a gang of kids tried to bum rush my vehicle whilst i was sitting in it
Eating a generously proportioned portion of fish and chips... Tip 1 always keep your vehicle locked even while
Sitting in it. Tried my hardest to run a few of them over lil buggers too fast though.

Another time i chased a scroat 100 yards after he tried to break into my vehicle.

Tip 2 don't go!

Scouse is NOT proper English but only because there is no such thing as proper English, merely a punch drunk
dialect.

"WHAT the hell did you just say?" is a common response to hearing a scouser.
Counter response is probably a fist.

This is probably the most important thing to come out of liverpool since the beatles.

You should go and lay some flowers where Liverpudlians found a dead baby in an alleyway and set up a memorial, only later it turned out it was just a chicken breast on the ground or something
