I know that you still get your training done while a skill is going through down time for one skill, so my question is...

will my skill plan / que still switch the skills if one happens to do so during the long downtime?

Yes mate. Don't worry.
But it's always good to tag a long skill on the end of the q each day, in case your pc dies, or your connection goes down, or a RL emergency keeps you from logging in.
You never know!

Yes. For safety's sake, I always put in a multi-day skill, just in case. ;)

Skillqueues will always keep ticking away and picking up next skills in the queue, even if you cant log in.

Server downtime doesnt mean they pull the plug from servers, it means that they dont let people on it so they can add/remove/change stuff

Attribute 4's need Cyber 4, are a reasonably good price for the bonus they give.
L5's aren't always the best solution due to thier huge price :D

Theres a whole bunch of T2 hardwirings that run off cyber 4 too, again its a balance between implant price and implant bonus

Ya, I saw the cost go up from +4's at 20 million average to 100 million for a +1 jump? No thank you!

Ive made quite a bit sicne i started playing, running lvl 1's and 2's (now) then salvaging them) I make about 8 mil an hour.

Each loot / salvage run, which is about 4-5 missions, brings in about 4-7 mil in stuff.

I also sold all that novelty stuff CCP sent me for signing up, that was worth about 25 mil.

I just hope he doesn't soon learn the hard way why a new player investing 100M in his clone should not be advertising it on the forum.

Yeah, I tell people all the time that spending a lot on implants early on never ends well. Everyone gets podded a couple times early on doing boneheaded things, it seems like.

Also, don't forget you can cash in your loyalty points from missioning to get implants at a discount.
As long as you dont take those +4's to low, they're a good investment.
If you are heading to Low/nul, invest in an implant free jump clone first.

posts like these warm my heart. here is a new player who knows how to stay afloat and will probably be a billionaire before he can even sit in a battleship.

I should buy an Ishtar.
