Out of Game Events and Gatherings

This month for Austin's MeetUp, we are having another LAN party at Mothership Books and Games. It's a great opportunity to meet fellow Eve Online players face to face, ask those burning questions you've always had, help a few player in-need and have a good time with fellow Eve players while you do it.

The Meetup is open to any level of player including the just curious and new players. The curious and new are especially encouraged to come as experienced players will be on hand to help with questions about PvP, ship fits, Industry, ISK making and just general questions. Our members come from all parts of space and are willing to talk for hours on end about spaceships.

Please join us as we support a great Austin business and have a hell of a lot of fun doing it.

The ATX meet up will be hosting a Frigate Free For All and possibly a frigate tournament for this month's meet up. Activities will be on the SiSi server to prevent anyone from going broke from this month's activities. Mothership will be installing Sisi on their computers for us, so be sure to give Derek and his crew a big thank you. Remember, insurance fraud on Sisi is legal, so make sure you stop up ISK so you'll have plenty of ships for the FFFA and Tourney. Tourney depends on how many are interested in participating. These events are Bring Your Own Ship(BYOS).

Ok guys, so a few more details for you:

We'll be flying Cruisers through Frigates - and for expediency's sake we'll be flying Shield fit ships. - Here is the requested shiptypes:

- Scimitars (Don't be that guy that fits all guns to his scimmy. Fit 3 large reps to your scimmy or I'll pod you myself.) (Basi's also accepted provided they are not alone. Again, don't be that guy that shows up in a lone basi. Have a basi buddy. Or two.)
- Shield Hacs
- T1 Shield Cruisers (Preference given to cruisers that don't use missiles)
- Shield Recons (I'll be flying my delicious falcon at some point during this op.)
- T1 Shield Frigates
- shield AFs(Jaguar, etc)
- Fast Tackle (dramiels/interceptors/hero rifters/etc)

I don't remember what time 7:00pm CST is in eve time, so I'll edit this around 7pm tonight and tell you what eve time we'll be forming up.

And remember gentlemen: Crash and Exotic Dancers on your lossmails means I'll buy you a beer . :p

Also, working on getting permission to use the goonfleet public gaming mumble server for those austinites who can't make it out, will post more later.

It's what I do. Haha. You haven't seen anyththing yet. Like I told you yesterday, just wait until Retribution hits. You are going to be in heaven with that mining frigate.

January 12th, 1pm, at Mothership Books and Games again.

Oh, and there might be someone from the local press there this time.

I will certainly do my best to go, this is the first time in a while that I havent had to work during a meet up.

Dani, it was great talking with you in our corp TS last night! We should try to organize a multi-city get together. Since y'all seem to have a great location with the LAN setup, might be best if us Houston folks planned on coming up to Austin one weekend...
