If youre multi-boxing and at least 1 of those is a neutral falcon, it sounds to me like youre getting the complete Eve experience.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Have you tried using the 'fixed window' mode? Its not really going to help you if you want to see both windows at once but it's good for the full screen effect with better switching between clients.

The second monitor comes in handy even when not multi-boxing for running 3rd party apps, surfing the web, watching vidoes while playing, etc.

Even before fixed window mode I believe EVEMon or a similar application had a tool that provided a similar function. It was good for lots of non PVP activities. Nothing beats having multiple monitors though.

The problem with fixed window mode is that all windows dock at the upper left side of the screen. When i got 2 windows of the same size how shall i switch then without tabbing.

You won't...

besides, even if you could change where the window sits while in this mode wouldn't you always have things cut off?

Your options are:

- fixed window and tab around
- normal windowed with the annoying border
- a second screen

Eve has so far made me upgrade my ssecond screen from 24" to 27", and then buy another 27". Now I have it set up at 27//30//27 and it looks effing sweet. Either have one massive wide client, or all three characters on :)

thanks guys,

i know its a little hard to get out of OP but my "question" is or was:

Would you spend 170 eur only because an issue like that, personally disturbing graphical stuff like borders and colorful icons around a computer game like EvE? do you even experience it as disturbing as me?

that maybe would influence my decision to get a 2nd screen for roundabout 2-5% which might be necessary to do something good for myself. Idea

Something like ISBoxer might work for you. I believe it lets you set up the border around the windows and fix the window size. At least the old versions I used with EQ would allow it. http://isboxer.com/ Bit expensive just for the windows, but cheaper than another monitor, and if you're already running 2 characters, you might like the other features.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

Really great tool if you ask me.

I'd love to have a second screen for my second client but it would be 170 Euros and i got a hard time investing this just for EvE.

Believe me, you wont be using them just for EVE. Once you get used to use multiple monitors, you'll be cursing yourself why you did buy them earlier Blink

I don't really follow- why not use full screen mode and alt-tab between the clients? No borders, just EVE.

Surely much faster than moving your mouse on screen and clicking. This is how I run multiple accounts.

Also, did you know that you can set your Windows taskbar to autohide?

If you want to use multiple fullscreens and alt-tab go for windowed mode rather than fullscreen - it's a far better experience
