Chat channel issues tonight - possible solution

Pretty specific error, shouldn't take to long to find and at least say "Hey, it will be 20 minutes while we route this to a different proxy"

Same problem here. I have a Mac and tried relogging, clearing the cache then logging in an alt then logging back in my main and still no go on alliance or corp chat. I can start a private convo, but cannot chat in that convo. I cannot accept a private convo either.

Local and fleet chats work as do public chat channels.

Perhaps they cannot replicate the error on their end. Tough to track down database issues without that.

Try to repair tool, worked for me.

We are continuing to investigate the issue but rebooting TQ will also cause problems for many. If there is anything any of you feel that a GM can do to help, they are on shift right and doing their best to alleviate side effects as possible.

So you know how to fix it but you refuse to do it? That's awesome support..

Who ever is having this problem, don't count that CCP will fix it before downtime , if they wanted to fix it they would have restarted TQ already. If it was a small bug that would benefit all of us the server would already been restarted but because only a couple (100, 1000, 5000 who knows)are affected it doesn't matter for them.

I always recommend people to play eve and dust but i see no reason to do that anymore with so crappy support. I would be ashamed as a tech support if i could fix a problem but didn't do it.

Since i'm not expecting it will be fixed before DT i'm going to log off.

I just worked through this with a corp mate who I could chat with in local.

She did the cache clear and repair tool thing once and it didn't work but then went away and the second time she did it she was back into all the proper channels.

This has also worked for some pilots I have been suggesting it to in the local and militia channels when I have noticed folks asking about this problem.

Had the same problem as everyone else here.

Rebooted the client 5 times and that solved the problem for me. I did have to add various other channels besides corp and alliance.

Guys I know this is annoying but then pc gaming has always been a pain in the butt. Cut ccp a bit of slack. If not the can I haz your stuff?

The fix has been posted once fellas here it is again. At least worked for me. Go to you chat window Channel button click it Create a new channel and DO NOT close it ...simply LOG OFF, Sign in and its fixed ;). Hope this helps worked great for me was stuck for 30 minutes.

Router and modem reset cleared the problem for me.

Props to the member of Gallente Militia who put me onto that.
Hehehe never thought I'd ever have anything nice to say about Gallente Militia so there you go. :p

That doesn't work. I've done it three times on two different accounts. I still have the issue.

Same problem, on two account, with all char.
I try everything but still not working.

The only channel working is the local, but i can"t join corp or alliance neither any other channel.

edit: i try spanker tip but didn't work for me Ugh

edit 2 : can we have no local and all chat instead plz ? Roll

Keeps crashing after getting that error, and when I start it back up, the server status is unknown, and I can't connect for 5-10 minutes. Then I can connect for a few minutes, and the same thing will happen again.
