Chat channel issues tonight - possible solution

Hey everyone!

We appear to be having some technical issues tonight manifesting in the loss of chat channels. As is often the case with issues such as these, it appears re-logging the client will fix the issue for you. Please let us know in this thread if that doesn't solve the issue for you.

Our engineers are burning the midnight oil trying to look for the cause of the issue. Our sincere apologies for the trouble.

No, 9 accounts, all have the same problem.

The specified proxy or server node (863615) is dead

1. Cleared cache
2. Did a fresh install on fresh windows (test disk)

still doesn't work.

doesnt work for me to restart clients or pc

inb4 server restart

im in the UK if that somehow helps (might affect the proxy)

Relogged a few times on 2 differant pc's same thing.. no chat windows other than local. and get Invalid Packet Destination (the specified proxy or server node (863576) is dead

no luck either, did both relog the client and clear cache


was just getting the chatbox issue "The specified proxy or server node (863576) is dead", but then a hampster died (?) and the game just completely died for me

Does not work I cleared my cash 3 times and it didnt work

Local was ok
Corp and Alliance back

Other (private) channels were lost in the ether. Manually added them back ok.

Thanks for the quick fix....

When I logged on I got this:

I closed the client and then re logged in with only local / alliance / corp channels open.

Hope this helps you find the issue.

My client is still up and kicking and as far I can tell I have just lost all my chat channels except lokal.


looks like I get the same problem on every account, be it jita or deep 0.0.

no amount of restarting the clients and or pc seams to work and Im far from alone in my corp with this exakt problem.

I also got the "node dead" error.

I relogged both in Caldari and Gallente space, my chats are still messed up and not joined.

I'm getting "The specified proxy or server node (863615) is dead. Five times over.

Client restart had no effect.
