Hi, i've a question for the Devs, Are Eve online CEO's able to give Director Power or Recruitement Rights to a Dust Mercenary as he can do to a 2 weeks old eve online pilots ?

I was really disappointed to see that it's not implemented at all in the actual version of the game on Sisi.

Seems like a regular day in Local to me.

Worse, that chatter may be offensive or just mind-numbingly silly (think "Barrens Chat", for those familiar with the phenomenon). As Dust will be F2P, I expect a lot of this stuff will happen if the game takes off, and reading all that is the last thing I want to do.

In other words, I hope you learned from the CQ fiasco in Incarna and include the "don't load CQ" equivalent for Dust in chat.

4. See that they already did this ages ago.

5. Profit.

This is a big step. While the impact on me as a player will probably be quite minimal, I'm still excited to see this happening. Dust has been in the works for a very long time now, so it's cool to see it coming to a head! Congrats CCP and I hope no hamsters blow up during this process.

why is it that in the dust beta, none of the combat zones look anything like any of the screenshots? terrible popin textures (unreal); and so much "fog", you can hardly see more than 10 feet infront of you?

I don't have a PS3, can't afford one and so likely never will own one, but am excited to see how this interaction between two gaming worlds develops.

Good luck CCP, you risked a lot to get it off the ground and despite having to have your ears bent, I hope to see you succeed.

No, the EVE players only need to be in faction warfare if they want to provide orbital support. We'll have more on that in an FAQ released later this week.

This is tragic.

Truly am excited about the incorporation of DUST 514!

What I'm not so excited about is the PSN. While being by miles a better system than LIVE network could ever be, my only hope is that PSN won't eventually drag the entire Tranquility down from their ends.

Sony's well known for subpar management, technics and upkeep. Not to mention their **** poor security, which I fear will conpromise us too.

All posts and mails screencapped and time stamped, including out of EVE, you will not reverse on me.

Might come in handy!

I wouldn't worry about that, I'd be more concerned as to whether DUST players will eventually be able to fire on non-FW ships in orbit above their district. Blink

And how, pray tell, will we as Capsuleers know when there's a battle taking place on a planet if not for the sudden satellite popping up on overview from a rival Capsuleer (potentially) beginning their bombing run?

For that matter, there should be a way for a Capsuleer to provide orbital bombardment without being notified before hand. I wouldn't mind helping out, especially in Faction Warfare, without having to know beforehand (impossible without word of mouth) that there's a battle going on. How are we to know that there is a battle there otherwise?

Player channels such as Looking for Orbital Bombardment (LOB) have cropped up so dusters and 'netural' eve players can coordinate strikes

We are tracking EVE and DUST players with separate PCUs. You can decide for yourself if the combined total contributes to the New Eden population, we certainly think it does.

I take it on the opening screen for Traquility there will be 2 counters then?

It does for sisi so likely since Dust 514 is a 'special' eve online client.
