Navy thron new fleet concept (jump cats)

i call them jump cats (inspired from PL names for expensive fleets)

concept is high dps and high ehp in your face navy throns that carry a MJD that lets them jump in and out of bubbles...

The fleet would need dictors/lechasis/hugin/jumpcats/oneiros

the dictors would pop bubbles and the lechasis/hugnin would provide tackle then all you would have to do is mjd the throns in and kill stuff...

the key about the setup is the mjd as it will let you jump out of the bubble if **** hits the fan...

main ship is navy thron fit like so:

[Megathron Navy Issue, jumpcats]
Federation Navy Magnetic Field Stabilizer
Federation Navy Magnetic Field Stabilizer
Tracking Enhancer II
Damage Control II
Reactive Armor Hardener
True Sansha Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane

100MN Afterburner II
Large Micro Jump Drive
True Sansha Heavy Capacitor Booster, Navy Cap Booster 800

Neutron Blaster Cannon II, Null L

Interesting concept.

The main issue I think with this is it only works in 1 situation, where you've bubble catched the enemy fleet so they are all close together, then mjd the navy throns in to finish them off while they're all packed together.

A bomber wing will do this far more effectively in any situation I can imagine, be far cheaper, and compliments a fleet doctrine that isn't severelly limited in it's use. Fleet doctrines need to also work when situations aren't ideal, this only works when everything goes perfectly, while that role is already filled by a far cheaper option which requires far fewer ships.

What would this doctrines counter be to Alpha Maels that are pounding you from 70km while your navy throns are bubbled down with the new mjd bubbles along with regular ones? Or Hellcats at 50 etc. You have no damage projection combined with very limited mobility in multiple cases.

You know the standard Foxcats work just fine with mjd's right? You just swap a sebo for the mjd and keep everything else exactly the same.

Edit: Also your fleet concept calls for shield tanking recon support with armor tanking dps and logistics.
So what you have really come up with is a very complicated way to get a lot of recons killed stupidly because they can not fit a tank that their logistics can rep.

Also Foxcats have amazing damage projection with scorch (as in an optimal of 100+ km), they don't have to be on top of the enemy fleet, navy throns have terrible damage projection.

I think the term cat is over used. These surely should be called jump sharks.

Would personally change a lot of stuff, like prop mods, mfs, drones, large neut but then all depends on the FC's tactic etc.

Gallente suffers from range when using blasters so you should make your fleet around this, you need to pin stuff and make sort they're not going anywhere when you land on grid.

Slowcats landing at 70 from you will blast one by one of you, use your mjd and they'll do the same to bring the fight at the same point with a huge difference: your guns will not shoot any further than 45km with mfs and without TC, your Bersekers are out of range and easily die.

TE's instead of MFS, TC instead of AB, Sentry instead of warriors&bersekers. Also HN imho is not what you want to fight more than a couple mins.

Just an opinion.

Viable blasterboats and a new juicy target for bombers? I call that a productive day in the office at CCP.

And here I thought that MJD would benefit long-range ships more since you aren't that constrained in terms of positioning.
Though the first comment on MJD I saw on these boards (and now apparently mot just first) was dedicated to blaster boats...

[sarcasm]
Blaster boats being known for their tremendous and awesome mobility on top of extreme hitting ranges, this module crushed some hopes, but it's better than reactive armor hardeners.
Oups, I did it again. "mmmm yeah"

Sry folks, I had to. Lol
