First off, don't jump all over me for the 'Jewbal' thing in the thread title. Its a cheeky name the goon financiers gave themselves because they're almost all Jewish.

Anyways, is anyone else a bit concerned about this? I'm sure many of us remember FW-gate, where every main in Goonwaffe was given 100bn from the proceeds (which was mostly later clawed back by CCP, but still). Who is to say the incestuous relationship between Goon and CCP won't develop even further?

Eisenhower warned the United States about the Military-Industrial Complex, I'm here to start a dialogue about the worrying path the politics in this game has taken. If you want a picture of the future, imagine a bee stinging a pubbie face... forever.

CSM members can't use NDA privileged information to gain an advantage in-game, and if they did they'd almost certainly be caught. What's the problem?

Investment banks are supposed to have a "Chinese Firewall" in between their trading and banking divisions, and that hasn't worked too well in stopping insider trading. Imagine how well virtual punishments work in deterring this sort of thing.

No, no one is concerned about this. Anxiously awaiting your goonspiracy thread #112 tomorrow!

Nope, you're in a goon pet corporation. You may have gotten the ~1m in loot the Goonwaffe newbies ejected from their rifters when they realized they didn't need to sell it.

NDA breaches have real-world consequences. CSM members have to release their RL names, and the potential consequences of breaching an NDA are simply not worth making a quick buck in a bad space game.

Now you've done it. You've named the cabal-that-must-not-be-named.

I guess you just underestimate the lengths to which goons will go to succeed at this game. Normal players would be able to rationally weigh the consequences of breaking a real-life NDA with the rewards of virtual Space Money, but I don't trust goons to be able to do the same...

This "pet corporation" is resposible for bringing high sec to its collective knees.

Does it make you angry knowing that goons have had members on the CSM for years now?

Yeah, not really sure it matters which goon is on the CSM does it? Rather have one that can address the economic impact of CCP decisions before they happen, than some of those with no clue the market even exists.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

Icelandic Special Forces will be dispatched to do what exactly? Unless he's from that country there is little recourse. Oooo they will ban his ingame account. Not saying he is, could or would do it. But if he did, there is little that can be done about it.

Virtual punishments such as being thrown off the CSM, having your real name associated with an NDA breach (not a good career move, FYI), being permabanned, and having all the ISK destroyed, you mean?

The best option, in my view, would be *no* goon on the CSM; I don't treat their presence as an inevitability that has to be worked within. I certainly wouldn't want a member of the Jewbal there; your argument is akin to saying "lets make Madoff head of financial regulation in the U.S., he knows all the tricks and how to game the system".
