I suggest you play as a panda. Although they are a relatively new race, im sure they.... wait...yep, Im on the wrong forum.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

I also came back playing recently and decided to create a new toon.

I was set to play amarr (for their golden *mostly* symmetric ships and lazors) but I hated how all amarr avatars looked old so I created a gallente.
Like people pointed out it took only a few hours to train the skills to fly amarr.

As for which is best for pve, can't help you with that.
For pvp it comes down to personal taste, i like lazors and hate the "a bunch of pieces of junk put together" look a lot of minmatar ships have. Minmatar ships have the advantage of being fast and not requiring cap to shoot tho, so choose wisely.

I would play as Jove, but it isn't possible.

What race then to play?

Shields, badass Scorpion, Jita - it says everything.

Custom ship skins, character creator style "repaint". Bring it!

Indeed the Eve history is fairly detailed and also worth considering, especially for people who RP. I like how all three Caldari bloodlines look and have one of each for random alts, but I had to go with Gallente here based off the Eve fiction.

I think they need to have a racial bonus or something small on every ship of your race. nothing that could be the turning point in massive battles but something that just might give you the edge on a 1v1 or complete that mission just a little faster.
