Perhaps it's better for you to simply accept than when a group says "We hope to do this by..." they are offering an ideal estimate, not a promise.

That's why I asked a few days before the deadline if they were still aiming for that.
I don't remember being mad about this, not my fault if some guys used my Trebor quote to troll them later.

1 week ? more ? less ?

I'm wrapping up the last session here. After that, only CCP can answer your question. Many are still gone on holiday and are beginning to get back into the office.

This is a recurring theme and not exactly unpredictable.

Sure, there isn't room for improvement for this minute's review process, but can't you discuss this with some higher up's there and find a solution so that six and twelve months from now the next CSM won't hit this very same problems again?

I mean, it is hard to believe that a company with 500 employees is given this much time for planning and cannot organize their resources so that this is properly addressed. If you (or them) think there is no solution for this, then start to consider a couple changes in the process.

:sand:  over  :awesome:

By the way do you (CSMs guys) consider the current timing for the summits well placed given what CCP does at these time ?
Does seeing them way before the planning is the good choice, or seeing them while they are far ahead (or before) would be better to maximise your input ?

Alas, the minutes are now going to be delayed because Hans now insists on rewriting the FW session in Iambic Pentameter.

First post updated. We have about half the sessions NDA approved. At this point, the biggest outstanding work is on the DUST sessions, as the DUST folks have been a bit busy recently. If the only sessions that are left are the 2 DUST sessions, we might release without them.

At this point, it doesn't look like we will get it out this week. We are very close though, and should have it out next week, hopefully early in the week.

I applaud the idea of breaking out the DUST sessions into a later release if they are holding things up. Understandable that they've been a bit busy. Have to say I was a bit surprised by the only two day warning. Has me wondering why the sudden rush. Perhaps the minutes will one day be illuminating on that subject.

For the rest of it, have to say the projected window is closing, we are a third the way through the month and rapidly approaching halfway. So yes please do what you can. CCP please expidite.

I'd wager he meant the warning that DUST would be on TQ for open beta, which had a pretty short notice.

That reply fits your avatar perfectly for some reason. Actually LOL'ed.

What part of what I said is confusing?

I know this has been expected as a general feature for a long time, and have seen the preparations for this link deployed already. But there was a lot of lack of clarity going into the summit about the EVE-Dust link. I had rather expected to see the minutes, and have a conversation about that. Instead the minutes are second priority and a devblog drops that the link is going live in two days. That was the first concrete date.

Not necessarily an issue -- but it was a surprise, and I am curious about how that came about.

I guess I'm still confused about "two day notice." To players, yes. To CCP, no. We all knew that Dust would be moving to Tranquility in January, because we discussed so at length at the summit. It's not like there was some sudden change in plans or anything. That being said, knowing about it in advance doesn't change the fact that the Dust staff have been extremely busy the last few weeks in the build up. Whether that is busy enough to not approve minutes or whether they're slacking and lying to us, I'll let you speculate on.

In the meantime, we'll simply try to get the minutes out earlier if it doesnt appear that the Dust team will be able to get to them soon. The dust sessions likely will involve the most re-writing, editing, redacting, or summarizing (which means more back-and-forth across multiple parties) - because so much of it tiptoes into NDA-covered criticism of the exsiting beta as well as criticism of future plans. It's not as easy for them to just sit down and blackline a few sentences and click "approve" the way that others can.

And again, just to clarify, Dust is NOT in "open beta" right now, though that term gets tossed around a lot casually. It is still closed beta. Meaning you can speak publicly about what you can see in space, but not what you see from the ground. That's the easiest rule of thumb for most players to use.

Drugs you are smoking, can I haz?

Okay great, it wasn't a surprise to you or CCP. I buy that. But still the two-day notice comment, from me - a player - gets you to say, "huh?" Or are you confused in thinking I am CSM None ofthe Above or CCP None ofthe Above? (And I never said "open beta" but I suspect that wasn't aimed at me. Actually a good portion of this reply is a non-sequitur to my comments, but that's fine. I get that you turned from a reply to me, to speaking to the community at large somewhere in there.)

I think you do a great job, but am sometimes having a difficult time following your twisty logic of late. On the economics thing you appeared to do a 180, and this time you don't seem to be able to see beyond your perspective to how us non-privileged players would see things. Maybe just a few minutes proofing your posts and thinking about how it would read to someone else would be time well spent.

Besides the obvious now I know why the game is so hard to deal with that was answered above.

I was thinking earlier you (CSM) stated that CCP might release dev blogs before the minutes come out. Or I got the impression you might prefer that to happen as well.

Are we gonna get any more devblogs before the minutes hit. If they do hit early next week? Or we just gonna dive right into the minutes prophylactive free?

(Also can only a CSM or a CCP dev answered those questions? I don't want a normal player answering them. I don't need to be around the uncouth anymore.)
