so i'm stuck on lvl2 security mission the blocade
i wanted to ask, do u need a bigger ship for lvl2 missions, because it would be nonsense. with cruiser it looks very hard too. up to this mission i was able to get with destroyer, but now with 2 agents i have the same mission, and cannot finish it. there are to many ships, i fight off first wave, but on second there are 4 or 5 target disrupting ships, that almost 100% disrupting my target so cant kill any ships. tried 2 tipes of eccm, but its not helping. and i think it should be 5 waves. and its cruiser tipe ships aswell. so, any advice?

This is one of the hardest level 2 missions. I did it a few times on a low skillpoint trade alt while building standings to reduce taxes.

It's helpful to read the mission guide and try not to aggro too much at any one time. My trade alt did it in a Rupture and a Cruiser is fine for this mission.

As for NPC Ewar, that is annoying, whether it is tracking disruptors on a turret ship or jammers on a missile boat, it depends which faction you are facing.

I would fit an ECCM of the appropriate race, e.g. ECCM Gravimetric if you are using a Caldari ship. This can help alot but there is a random element in how much the NPCs use Ewar. I recall doing that other annoying mission where there are "rival mercenaries" (?) the one with all the blackbirds and found it almost impossible even with an ECCM, however, after letting the mission reset at downtime and trying again, the next time I was hardly jammed at all, so there is definately randomness involved.

For now I would try and get a friend to help out and just refuse that mission in future if you are struggling with it now.

Final thought : as a newer player you get a bit more leeway so you could always petition for the missions to be removed from your journal. Not something you want to do very often but in the circumstances it's reasonable IMO.

Edit: you also posted this in New Users Q&A, just a tip but the mods don't like cross-posting. I can understand you wanting to increase visibility and try and get an answer quicker but you are probably better off posting in this subforum.

ECCM won't help you against tracking disruption. Use a missile boat for now or drones which will be hard with all those small ship type NPCs. The TD is ridiculous for this mission in a turret ship so I feel for you.

bloody restart stopped from finishing mission. only the main boss left atlast. gravi eccm did help, it gave me enough time to kill off jammers, and the rest, slow but no problem with caracal:)
pluss using kinetic missiles and improved rezistance to kinetic damage

^ I think I misread "target disrupting" as target jamming. If you are being tracking disrupted then as Caustic says, missiles are the way to go as they are not affected by TDs. And ECCM won't help with TDs it just helps against jammers.

Apologies for any confusion caused.

For tracking disruption, you can fit a tracking computer to help. The other thing is to manage your target transversal speed by flying directly to or away from the target you are shooting. Do not orbit.

Looks like you meant jammers - yes, fit a single ECCM. It won't stop you from getting jammed but it will greatly reduce the amount of time you are jammed. If you have them, drones set to aggressive can really help too since they will continue shooting targets while you are jammed.

yes, eccm helped. gave enough time to shoot those 4 bastards one by one. finished the mission atlast and the reward was pleasing i must say. gurista tag alone worth 6mil:)

I finally got this figured out last night. I was trying both Moa and Caracal and found the Moa more effective early on while I had distance. Then when the swarms inevitably built up to the point where I was luck to kill one ship and warp out each time, I had to figure out some new tricks (for me...being a noob).

That's when i realized that you can right-click in space, and warp to the location at distance. Most of the Pithi ships can't hit you from 30km so I would warp in far enough away to employ railguns and pick off a few, starting with the silencers and nihilists (the two jammers I believe). If you have decent speed, you can even wait out a cycle or two of jamming and then get busy. It still takes a few trips in and out, and I switch to the Caracal just to change things up now and then, but I find the missions much more manageable knowing that one method. Hope it helps.
