Congrats to the winners,
thanks to the judges for obviously using their middledays to read through the thousands of words
and pride to me for having been a part of it all :)

....so when is the next contest, so we can all think up more awesome stories?!

Want to thank CCP Eterne for the pm, since I could reply directly ill do it here.

When I wrote the story I tried to put to much in it since it was meant as an intoduction to a larger story. I am afraid this made things unclear, the different Amarr stuff was not added randomly.

The characters will all interconnect later, where I everything will be a lot less stereotypical and more grey. In the end it is allabout the ascension of jamyl. Idecided to tie everything together using a prophecy of a child. This prophecy is also present amongst the blood raiders. Jamyl and falek grange want to use it for their own benefit, the khanid kingdom throws its weight behind jamyl in an attempt to gain influence, the cultists do it for a religious reason. On the other side the bloodraider will team up with dochuta and less savory matari elements. This ties in with the bloodraider activity in the bleaklands and he disgrace of saracen by dochuta, because he will turn out to work for jamyl.

Hope that explains a little,

Kraik

I'm... Astonished. To say the least. No idea how I managed third place but I am insanely grateful Lol

I was very impressed by the number of people who responded with so many great stories. You have all made my long trips through New Eden so much more of an opportunity to open a browser and read wonderful game related fiction.

Thanks to Sam, the jury and the sponsors for making it all possible, and congratulations to the winners.

I enjoyed reading and contributing and I hope everyone feels the same even if they didn't win.

This was an awesome contest and I truly hope there are more like it in the future. Congrats to the winners, it is well deserved. There were a lot of truly great stories submitted and all were worth reading. The judges certainly had their work cut out for them. I'm looking forward to the next contest.

I too want to thank Telegram Sam, CCP Eterne and CCP Falcon and every one else we know and don't know who helped out with this contest. It was a great motivation to finally finish a story in the EVE universe. Congratulations to all the winners; you have earned it Smile And thank God the contest is over, because now I can go back and re-edit my story. someone said stories are never finished, only abandoned. I'm not abandoning mine just yet Blink The contest has motivated me to write a few more. So I'll post those when they're 'done'.

Hopefully we'll get another contest like this someday soon. Like many I'd love another crack at it and I would love to be inspired by more great writing.

I posted some random observations about the contest entries as a whole on the contest blog page. Common themes, types of settings, types of protagonists, that kind of thing. Feel free to comment, discuss or refute. Smile

I'd like to second that. Thanks to the devs, EON, EOH, SomerBLINK and everyone else who offered up prizes, judged or even just read and left feedback.

Next time I'll bag me a first :p

One way or another, I reckon there'll be another contest before too long. Smile
Don't stop with reading just the Grand Prize winner. You have the other winners, plus all of these here. A lot of good stories, and to quote the Youtube guy who reads Dr. Seuss in Jamaican Patois, "Not one of them is like the other. Don't ask us why. Go ask your mama." Smile
