I think its worth mentioning, the engagement was made possible by a scout who got point on the first carrier. The scout was in an Incursus! Most exciting fight I have been in in any MMOG.

Baby Powder

In the film How High my favorite character was a pimp named Baby Powder; he would slap his Ho's up side the face with a hand full of baby powder making a giant white handprint…it have no idea why I find it so amusing, but I do. I think my favorite quote of his was: “And i'm gonna tell you something, this pimpin' that I got in my blood, it came from a family tree. My granddaddy was a pimp. My great-great-great-granddaddy was a pimp. I'm talking 'bout pimpin' since been pimpin' since been pimpin'!”

Pimpin translates to Eve very well; sometimes you are the Pimp, sometimes you are the Ho. There have been plenty of times that A4D has been on the receiving end of the pimp slap. More than I can count I have had a giant handprint on my face; tonight was not one of those times. For the past two nights we have been the pimp and “Why so Serious” as been the Ho. It started while roaming our usual hunting grounds in search for kills; Scalding Pass, Wicked Creek, Great Wildlands; all empty. We saw a blip at HED-GP and decided to head that direction.

We were running a sizable gang by A4D standards. We have been running a lot of T1 Cruisers and were itching for a change. We loaded up with (19) 4 Basilisks, 1 Cerberus, 7 Drakes, 4 Hurricanes, 2 Cyclones, Sabre.

The fight started with me scouting a small NC DOT fleet camping the VOL-MI gate in HLW: (5) 2 Talos, 1 Scimitar, 1 Hurricane and a Broadsword. It was my job as scout to warp around and look like I was trying to get through that gate. Our plan was simple… align toward the gate and see if the Broadsword puts up his bubble, if he does call the gang in to mow him down.

Unexpectedly the Broadsword actually DID put his up his bubble; the guys jumped in, warped to the gate and proceeded to kick the bejesus out of him. As a good scout I jumped to the other side so my fleet wasn’t blind. I jumped in to realize that there were 30 in local! I warped to a tactical above the HLW gate and reported the who’s, what’s, why’s, and wherefores of the enemy fleet. We were outnumbered 3/2 which in the A4D universe means even numbers.

On the gate was the Why So Serious fleet I am sure they wanted revenge for the a$$ kicking we laid on them last night. We were determined to oblige. Their Gang: (32) 2 Tengu, 6 Drakes, 5 Hurricanes, 3 Tornados, Huginn, 1 Ferox, 1 Claymore, 1 Sleipnir, 1 Cynabal, 1 Falcon, 1 Huginn, 5 Scimitars, 1 Sabre, 1 Crow, 1 Purifier, Sabre. We were outnumbered but the odds were even…the fight was not.

The fight kicked off with all their DPS on our basilisk and our reps were unable to keep him alive after the initial alpha. Things were not looking good for the good guys; we were down to 3 Basilisks to their 5 Scimitars. We managed to get tackles on the Claymore, Falcon, and a Scimitar taking them down in quick succession. They called one of our buffer fit Hurricanes primary next but sadly our three remaining Basilisks were unable to keep up.

We tackled a second Scimitar killing him next, soon thereafter we lost our second Hurricane followed by one of our Ham Drake’s because their ECM drones briefly broke our cap chain. We reestablished the chain and focused DPS on the close by ships. With all three the cap chain intact, our Basilisks rebounded. We were able to maul three tornados, two hurricanes and their Sleipnir!

I found one of the remaining two scimitars 40 the gate, so I tackled and webbed him. When the fleet arrived I went off to look for additional squishies to tackle. The good guys had now knocked own half of their remaining DPS, before taking out the last Scimitar, 2 Hurricanes, Huginn and Tengu. At this point the fight was in hand and we held the field, although we were out numbered and had a rocky start, we effectively left a giant white baby powder pimp slap handprint all over the sides of their collective cheeks.

The moral to the story is simple, until you engage someone with smaller numbers and are consistently effective, you will never become better. Alliances like this blob people: overwhelming with isk and numbers. Blobbing is non-skilled PVP. The fact that A4D was actually traveling in a 19-man gang was an anomaly. Luckily we still managed to fight outnumbered and most importantly and we still managed to slap a giant baby powder imprint all over Why SO Serious…. again.

I know I have posted this before, but it is pertinent. If you have been keeping up with A4D, you have probably seen this before. Fact of the matter is this. We live by a code. A way of thinking. We are single minded in our dealings with everyone in eve. We only want individuals who identify with our thinking. Ask yourself if you belong in A4D and save us the trouble of judgement. For you will be judged by your peers here. Not just management.

Most people think that to have a great corp, you must have great leaders. Well that is true. To have a great corp you must have great players. The only way for that to happen is to have trust and respect for each other in corp. Those players must develop themselves into leaders. The leaders of a great corp set standards and expectations at a high level for the corp. Whether its efficiency, how you conduct yourself, your conviction, and/or your dedication to becoming a great player. Whatever it is, a leader defines what he expects from you to be a part of that team. If you, as an individual, don't buy into the system and do your part, then you will never have a great corp.

If you have two guys, one is a high achiever, and the other is mediocre, then the two will never get along. You will never have the respect and trust, to have that great corp. With that being said, if you allow that to exist in your corp, then you will never achieve greatness.

How do you achieve that? You achieve it by your positive energy in trying to achieve a goal that's important to you. To be the best player you can be and helping the ones around you to be the best they can be. Now that's positive attitude.

If your gonna be a leader, have a vision of what you want. You have to know what you want to accomplish. The second thing you need to do, is to have a plan of how you are gonna get there. What are you gonna do? How are you gonna create an example for the other players in your corp, so that your corp accomplishes the things they are capable of? Everyone has to buy in and everyone has to do it together. It cant be done unless everyone has the same mindset and dedication. And the last thing, is that you as individuals have to be responsible for your own dedication and self determination. That means you are accountable for yourself and what you do. Leaders define what they expect from you as an integral part of the corp. Your responsibility is to be accountable to it.

You must have the discipline to do what your supposed to do, when your supposed to do it, the way its supposed to be done. If you cannot do that, then your probably are not gonna be successful at anything you choose to do. Its accountability. If you cannot be accountable for yourself , then how can the rest of the corp ever depend on you? We cant, because that person isn't dependable. Its a part of who you are. From the time you woke up this morning until the time you go to bed, you have had to make decisions. Most of the time you know what the right decision is. You don't always do it . Maybe, someone you know is doing the wrong thing and it might be one of your buddies. But to be a leader, you must always make the right decisions. Because the right thing will never fail you. You will always be successful. There are no shortcuts.

You have to be a competitor. You never give up. You always continue to compete. You never show your frustration. You keep coming. You have the mindset that they cant kill you. That's relentless. When your a relentless competitor. When you keep coming. You play smart. You come at them with a plan. The enemy starts thinking, "these guys are crazy". "They don't stop". "It doesn't matter what we do, they are there with a different approach". "It doesn't matter if we beat them in a fight. They are right back with a different plan". " A different tactic". "Giving the same kind of effort , the same kind of intelligent game play every time". Relentless. It doesn't matter who you are playing against, because you are relentless in the effort that you give, the intensity that you play with, the sense of urgency you play with, and how you go about playing the way you do.

Our number one goal should be, to have everyone in curse not want to fight us. I want everyone in curse to say," I hate fighting A4D". Because why? Because of the way that the corp competes in the game. You can't get in their head. You can't get them frustrated. Even if they make a mistake, they are right back at you the next time. They will never show their disappointment in what they do. They are gonna persevere. They are gonna be persistent and relentless in the way they fight. That is how you have success. Because most corps cant do that. You create a tremendous advantage for yourself when you do that.

What I'm talking about doesn't take a huge amount of intelligence. It takes attitude, decisions, and commitment. This all leads up to one thing. Pride in your performance. Wanting to be the best player you can be and not being satisfied until you accomplish that. It doesn't matter what role you play. Be the best at it. Be the best logistic pilot ever. The best tackler ever. The best damn solo artist ever. That's it.

You can't have great victories unless you overcome adversity. Because, adversity is what makes it a challenge. Somebody tells you to do something. They set a standard of how your gonna do it. You understand it. It's defined. Then you show you have the ability and accountability to do it that way. Always coming back. Always playing the next play. No matter what happened on the last play. You can play the next play like it has a history and life of its own. You can compete just as hard, with just as much effort, with just as much discipline. You execute what your supposed to do, when your supposed to do it, and how its supposed to be done, every play of the game. Thats being a relentless competitor. That's A4D.

So, who are you? Are you relentless?

1 Day’s Carnage (pt 1)

Most of you know my opinion about alliances. In fact, I loathe them. I have no respect for them, I feel sorry for them. Mostly I feel sorry for them because they can’t have what we have. I am truly proud of A4D this corporation is solid, we hold our own in ever fight. We may lose, but we are freaking good and we know it. Here are some examples of last night.

Fight 1 (Break up bubble camp)
It started by us chasing this evil killer named Cal 7 who is well known through the region for his Absolution of DOOM. Anyway, he jumps away from us in Jorund and manages to warp to the Sendaya gate where he lands in a bubble being camped by that AAA loyal pet puppy alliance Legio Astartes.

We jump on field right as Cal 7’s Absolution…thwarted as we were, we tackled everything in range. Huginn, Rapier, Drake, Naga, Algos were all in our reach. There were more, but they didn’t kill anyone in our fleet so you will never know the masses of nubs on the opposing side.

Our Fleet: (9) Vexor x 5, Exequror x 2, Ishkur, Maller
Legio’s Fleet: (9) Huginn, Rapier, Drake, Naga, Rupture, Algos, Malediction, Flycatcher, Corax.

After looking at this more closely, it wasn’t an overly awesome fight or anything; we killed five of them, we were supposed to, there was nothing to brag about, it happened, as it should have. We expected more resistance, as there were 51 in local. There was a neutral falcon there that we didn’t know that was wh0ring on some mails.

Cal 7’s loss: *snip*Posting of kill reports outside of the Crime & Punishment forum channel is prohibited. ISD Ezwal

Fight 2 (Vagabond Fleet)
We left looted up from Doril and decided to drop off loot and reship. Our DPS didn’t seem high enough and we wanted to fly a little heavier. We went back to station where we unloaded our loot. Before we could even unload we caught some Intel that a 13-man Flying Dangerous fleet was 3 jumps out and coming our way.

First off, let me say this about Flying Dangerous…they may lose, but they are in it to win it, they always fight and we respect them greatly for it. We start this fight with all damage ships being ordered to the CL gate; our Guardians were ordered to an off scan spot near the CL gate, aligned and ready to warp. We knew they wouldn’t engage if they knew we had 3 Guardians, so the trap was set.

Our Fleet: (13+1) 2 Harbinger, 3 Hurricane, Stabber Fleet, 2 Vexor, Jaguar, Retribution and 3 Guardians. (Hidden off scan), 1 Curse (Late Arrival)
Flying Dangerous Fleet: (13) 8 Vagabonds, Lachesis, Huginn, 2 Scimitars, Scythe.

Just as the enemy fleet arrived, we managed to just put up our bonuses; we now had Claymore and Damnation links. With this bonus to our webs and scrams, we now had a chance to hawk down some of these ships before they got up to speed. Our guess was correct, our tackle managed to web and scram no less than 5 ships before they got out of range. It was now time to apply pain, we managed to tackle and kill 9 members of a 13-man nanofiber fleet with an armor fleet. Like a boss.

1 Day’s Carnage (pt 2)
Fight 3 (Peeked into HLW)
As there are always some 40 NC dot online in HLW, we decided to see if any were active. As usual they have five guys active in their time zone. So we decided to leave. Our scout picked up a sizable The Union Free Worlds gang in ARG…they had no logistics but they had as many ships as we do.

Our Gang: (13) 2 Harbingers, 3 Hurricanes, 3 Guardians, 1 Stabber Fleet, 3 Vexor, and Retribution.

Union of Free Worlds: (Unknown) Killed: Vulture, Drake, 3 Hurricanes, Talos, Phantasm.

Our scout jumped into their fleet and called us to jump from HLW and warp to ARG. Without thinking twice, we jumped and warped. We landed on the gate as our scouts cloak ended. He got a point on a Hurricane and ordered us in. Our Guardians managed to save our scout as he was in 20% structure. Logi > No Logi.

Fight 4 (Why so BuTtHurT) * best fight of the night

Have you ever had that feeling that something isn’t quite right? Like everyone in the room is watching you? This was one of those moments, we found a 30 man fleet in front of us, so we sidestepped them and decided to go another direction. We only had 14 and really weren’t that strong of a fleet. We had totally kicked butt in the 3 fights that we were supposed to win. We weren’t going to whelp into a 30-man fleet with what we had.

Our scout jumped into 5DE-QS we were delayed by a bunch of large bubbles that we decided to dispatch instead of having to motor a bunch of AB fit guardians through. It was going to take a few minutes to knock them down, but better safe than sorry. As we sat on the 5DE-QS our scout picked up a Loki and a Sabre camping a gate.

Our scout tackled the Loki and we flooded local. We managed to save our tackle and the rest of the gang took down the Loki. As we looted, local EXPLODED +30. Our numbers were effectively doubled…our weak fleet verses, a huge Why So Serious fleet. They had 7 Scimitars and Basilisks and 20+ Battle Cruisers with a Vindicator all-angry at us…. for some reason.

Instantly our Guardians were in trouble as one of our guardians had 2,000,000,000 EW drones on them. Due to some fancy Logi flying, we were able to re-establish locks over and over again pulling more than one ship out of deep armor. Unable to break our tanks the 30-man Why So BuTThurt gang jumped out leaving 3 Hurricanes aggressed on the gate to Die.

Our Fleet: (15) 1 Deimos, 2 Harbingers, 4 Hurricanes, 3 Guardians, 2 Vexor, Stabber Fleet, Jaguar, and Retribution.
Their Fleet: (30+), 7 Logi + only God knows

I am not sure why they ran; they almost won because we couldn’t break their tanks, we had switched targets and they got a scare, but overall it was a dead even fight that could have lasted for days. Not too bad considering we were outnumbered easily 2-1. We could get accurate numbers if they had actually killed one of us.

1 Day of Carnage (part 3)
Fight 5 (The Finale)…pardon me is almost 5am.

We were intact, we had survived two groups in a row with a bigger gang than we had, and we had survived with no losses. By now our target callers were honed in, our gang knew their jobs, and or Logi had been pushed to the limits. We knew that we had just taken the best punch from a superior wHy So SerIouS gang grinned right back at them.

We felt that we had over extended our stay and decided it would be prudent to get back home. We set waypoint home but had a cloaky Tengu following us saying in every system. “We aren’t done” and “Wait wait we want to fight”. So basically, they doubled our numbers, tried it once, failed then decided to get even MORE ships and chase us.

Here is where it started going down hill…Our scout now picked up 4 different fleets. We had just entered XV-MWG and warped to the outbound gate when local filled up with 10 NC DOT we didn’t know what they had but were fairly confident that we could hold up against any 10 person fleet pretty easily. Our forward scout jumped into SG-75T our out system and also a bottleneck.

There was a 30 man True Reign Bomber Fleet in local. Although we thought we could handle them in a brawl, if TR decided to bomb us, they would wipe our entire fleet out with ease. Knowing we really didn’t have a choice, we jumped in and warped to the outbound gate. Our scout named another Union of Free Words cruiser fleet on the other side. We engaged, and Red Alliance once again hot dropped us with a fleet of 33.

Most of our gang de-aggressed and jumped out but they were able to down 3 of us. I guess we should be truly honored; Red Alliance proceeded to try and recruit us into their alliance. We respectfully declined due to stylistic PVP differences. We prefer to do more with less and they prefer to do less with more.

It is simple really; for the past month we have won every engagement against them that we were supposed to win and countless ones that we should not have. We are good at what we do and we are better than most and we know it. We are proud to be A4D.

Some kind of wonderful

Not so well documented is my adoration of John Hughes movies. It took me some time to tie them in to EVE, but I think I have a grasp on how to do so. A4D is obviously “Some kind of wonderful”, not the greatest of the Hughes films but it did launch my eternal lust for Mary Stuart Masterson. All that being said, here are my parallels to John Hughes films.

Uncle Buck: Red Alliance – Any movie with John Candy rocked, but in this one Uncle Buck is an unemployed overly plump guy that makes a living by betting on rigged horse races who is donned with the task of babysitting his brother’s kids. Nothing says Red Alliance like Uncle Buck. Ironically enough when they are not babysitting their pets they are a giant blob just like John Candy. Movie Quote: “Take this quarter, go downtown, and have a rat gnaw that thing off your face! Good day to you, madam. “

Home Alone: Double Tap – They remind me a lot of Makauley Culkin mildy cute yet annoying. They are a little renter alliance that was left home while the parents were away. Knowing that once they leave their constellation, things may be dangerous they tend to stick around home and wait for people to come to them. Once that happens they undock 5 times as much as they need and then talk incessantly about their own greatness. On a bright note, I did see them out of J2 for the first time EVER without a titan bridge as backup (Zao Chi) if you want to book mark him….just saying. Movie Quote: “The only flying that I ever did as a kid was in the family station wagon. It wasn't to France. We used to have to go over to Aunt Laura and Uncle Arthur's house.”

National Lampoon’s Vacation: Against ALL Authorities – Since AAA lost their space and are living in Doril, they have been rolling heavy around curse in their Wagon Queen Family Truckster (40 man blob) being spearheaded by Mukk Barovian(nothing says I have a 40 man fleet behind me like Mukk being in local). This alliance has some pets like Leggio Astartes: Uncle Eddie (a mildly ******** third cousin) and En Garde: Aunt Edna (Dead but still traveling with the family). They are an endless supply of entertainment. Movie Quote: “Why aren't we flying? Because getting there is half the fun. You know that. ”

Pretty in Pink: NC Dot - It took me a while to figure out who to add in this category…it needed special recognition because this is my second favorite John Hughes movie. NC Dot is basically a conglomeration of two characters the strapping handsome guy Jake Ryan (Euro TZ) and Ted the geek (North American TZ). They are effective killers half the day and incredibly clumsy the other half of the day. I almost feel sorry for them as they are relegated to running from our T1 Cruiser gangs at night and titan bridging during the day. Titan bridging is like gate camping with bigger ships. Movie Quote: "Can I borrow your underpants for 10 minutes?"

Weird Science: Art of War - Due to the training nature of Art of War they ARE THE OPITIME of “Werid Science” They are the geeky little guy that outsmarts the Chet's of the universe. The main characters Gary and Wyatt are depicted by the massive army of rifters on every AOW gate camp in 8G; they are watched over by their instructors’ fleet of 87 Falcons (Lisa….Kelly LeBrock). They are probably the most efficient alliance in Curse by far. Movie Quote: “She kneed him in the nuts and called him Fa**ot in front of everyone”

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off: Brushie Brushie Brushie – I don’t know what really happened to this merry group of gentlemen but when Polychrest goes dormant so do these guys. I mean, these gents were rolling in 20 man gangs last month and now they have fallen off the face of the earth. Or at least they never leave D87E-A; They don’t even use NI4NI’s titan piloted by Fugitive Blue any more(hint hint). It is rather sad really. Movie Quote: “Bueller?... Bueller?... Bueller? “

15 Billion reasons to be in A4D

A4D does things a little differently than most, especially in regards to our loot policy. If we are in gangs of 3 or under we split the loot between the members of the gang, but if we are in a group of 4 or more, we throw all the loot in the A4D loot hangar whether it is T1 or Officer mods. At the end of the month A4D buys the mods from the Loot hangar and pays its most productive members. Isk killed divided by active members = Isk Average. Anyone that is above average gets their share of the Loot.

Epic December: We managed to kill an Avatar (we got there before AAA regardless of what they say), 2 Officer Fitted Navy Apocalypses, and an officer fitted Sleipnir (got the loot). Add all the carrier loot and the loot we collected, and all the loot from the gangs we mauled and you get a 15 billion isk divided between 23 members.

Congratulations have 650 million ISK

Sad but true

I am deeply saddened by the AAA implosion this weekend, although they were blobby and have been total crap since Manfred Sideous (or even Evil Thug) left, they did provide for an endless supply of entertainment, targets and predictability. We will no longer be able to play the “Bet a Million on Mukk” game. The person who is guesses closest to how many AAA will enter local when Mukk Barrovian enters system wins a million isk from each of the guessers. I guess = 41

Of course I jest; I unabashedly pick on all alliances equally. I find it truly amusing the amount of players who blindly follow for the cause of Sovereign space. They do it for the illusion of everyone getting rich, when at the end of the day; the only rich people are the ones in alliance leadership. That is A4D’s niche, we don’t want SOV, we don’t like SOV, we don’t like the politics and most importantly we don’t like those that engage in it. It is so much easier to hate everyone equally than waste our time fighting for space.

Now let’s get into yesterday’s battle report…or not. We lost twice yesterday. EEEEK, I know. After last month’s carnage and forced penetration of Why So Serious, they finally won a battle. It was not totally our fault, they undocked a Vindicator and you know how we love to blow things up…so after a minute of discussion by the Angel on one shoulder and the Devil on the other shoulder the devil won out and we lost 4 ships in 4 seconds. Unable to beat us in previous engagements with 2/1 and 3/2 odds, Why so Horrible finally won one. Hey, they had to win one eventually.

We lost a Maller, three Vexors, and a Pod or three. Of course they smacked of their awesomeness, although I still stick to my guns…only smack when you win a fight you aren’t supposed to win. Fighting a gang of 13 T1 Cruisers with 26 is really not something to brag about…but my theory on alliances is well documented. Those that can’t do, join alliances. Anyway, we lost a few but had a decent sized fleet still and we were going to see what we could find to fight on the way home.

*snip*Posting of kill reports outside of the Crime & Punishment forum channel is prohibited. ISD Ezwal

We had 7 or 8 left, 3 Exequrors, 2-3 Vexors, 1 Arbitrator, and 1 Maller. We caught wind of a Double Tap gang, and we thought we would give it a try. They had fairly even numbers, they had 11 that we could see and 2 that we couldn’t. The Double Tap Gang:(13) Vagabond, Bellicose, Caracal, 2x Moa, Stabber Fleet, 2 x Thorax, Sabre, Scimitar, Scythe +2 unknown. It opened up with trying to tackle anything in range which proved to be difficult for our gang as they were tons faster than us.

All their damage went on Calloon and soon it was evident that we couldn’t keep him alive. We lost Calloon’s Vexor in less than 20 seconds and Blythar’s and Musty’s Vexor’s shortly thereafter. As Kabars Arbitrator melted it was evident that we simply didn’t have the DPS to break their tanks. We called for a pancake and ended up losing 4 killing 0. Perhaps it would have been a little more even if we had our original gang but that is hindsight and conjecture. But as Blythar said “We didn’t come here to dance”

*snip*Posting of kill reports outside of the Crime & Punishment forum channel is prohibited. ISD Ezwal

All and all I am happy that Double Tap actually left their pocket; I actually have a little more respect for them than I did last month. That was perhaps the most even fight they have ever engaged us with so there is hope for them after all. I look forward to these even fights in the future. Although we didn’t win this time, I am sure we will win our share this month. Removing all 4 high isk kills last month we still ended up 82%...not bad.

Bottom Feeder

This guy named Vorpralmar from Why So Bi/Curious jumped his brand new Nidhoggur in to K-Q last night and started spouting off about his awesomeness. I find that ironic but I figured I would entertain his words of wisdom. After a minute or two I finally realized that his entire angry banter was caused by one of two things. 1) Being forced to share a tent with Heath Ledger in some cowboy movie. 2) Losing his carrier to a 15 man gang: *snip*Posting of kill reports outside of the Crime & Punishment forum channel is prohibited. ISD Ezwal
I listened, I laughed, I snorted a Pepsi out my nose.

He made it clear that A4D are the bottom feeders of EVE; he ranted on about the only reason we got a kill was because we had a spy in their alliance (which we didn’t). A4D isn’t that high tech, we don’t use spy’s…we don’t need to. We are roamers, we look for places with lots of people and we go and try to kill them…that is the extent of our intel system. The only reason we ended up on that kill mail was because an Aquila friend of one of our members said…hey, want to kill a carrier?

Most pvp’ers in this game considers themselves sharks and that is all good and everything but the problem with sharks is that there are always bigger sharks. Sharks are merely bullies that when confronted by a bigger shark fold like a cheap lawn chair. AAA was the biggest bully on our block until they were taken out by bigger school of bullies. And unlike us, these corps scattered like **** roaches when they realize that they aren’t the biggest shark in the sea.

So by strict definition, we are the bottom feeders of EVE, we take every opportunity to eat whenever or whatever we can with zero remorse. We are survivors, and you can’t take that away from us. It is our ability to be autonomous that makes us better suited for survival than most. In the end the bottom feeder always wins….always.

Once you join an alliance you lose your identity as a corporation, If we enter system we will always be A4D, the bottom feeders that are going to try and kick your aSS.

News of Curse

There is nothing left in Doril of what was AAA…just a bunch of AFK people who didn’t know the rest of the alliance fell apart. Those are the ones that are still traveling around solo looking over their shoulder like a school girl in a prison yard. Macabre Votum seems to have moved over to NC Dot so we no longer have even numbers and thus they finally want to fight. It seems amazing to me that 13 on 13 is not a fair fight but 23 – 13 is acceptable. I expect them to move on soon, they are too big to find anything to fight in Curse.

NI4NI is still gate camping in D87 but I don’t see gangs leave that particular system very often any more. I miss Pollychrest, he was the glue that held their group together. Hopefully he will come back and we can engage them more. I haven’t even seen that Titan log in PO4 in AGES; Blue Adept must be hibernating. Perhaps if you wouldn’t have Titan bridged us I wouldn’t feel so happy about giving your titan pilot name out freely.

Speaking of Titans, I think we have most of the bookmarked around the region so if anyone wants to kill one I will tell you where they are housed. I am all for more Titans being removed from the game. They tend to make Alliances look better than they actually are. We have enough ISK to buy a few of them but why would we do that? Titan bridging is like gate camping with more isk.

We have some new people hanging around in Curse. Nulli Secunda dropped by and tried to aggress one of our Tornado’s on a station with an Arazu…Of course they Arazu was single plated, and died…that wouldn’t be Nulli otherwise. Hint: If you want to Blops people, do some research. 1) Arazu’s can’t kill anything by themselves. 2) See rule number 1. Of COURSE it is a hot drop…we know that. But if we had known your gang would suck that bad we would have killed you all.

Flying Dangerous is still heading out with some nice sized fleets, we don’t pass up a chance to fight them. It is too bad they don’t T2 fit their stuff, they would probably win a few if they did. Our last one against them was 20-11 but our DPS was virtually identical. Our Logi > FD Logi…that was the difference. I do however like that they bring you a fight. Hats off to them.

It looks like Red Alliance is bluing everyone in Scalding Pass and Wicked Creek (Dawson’s Creek). There is a new coalition that is in the works that is like a giant batphone making it difficult to run up and down those regions without having some random 30 man gang coming to intercept. For the most part we hold our own vs. these fleets, but they have zero issues chest pounding like a gorilla after engaging you 3/2…this is alliance pvp. Blob = Skill

We haven’t been back to mess with Double Tap recently, we got bored of playing station games. They did get out of their pocket recently and engage us twice…once by bombing our Stabber and Kitsune and the other overwhelming our smaller fleet. I look forward to engaging them much more; I am starting to respect them a tad bit finally. At least they haven’t been smacking in local about fights they were supposed to win.

I think 0utbreak is still in Doril but they move in the middle of the night when you don’t expect them to. I think they would be better off over near D87 but they may be too small for that now. It has been nice having them around; I miss some of those guys. I liked flying with them.

DarkSide is still rolling around early although they are shoehorned in by NC Dot at the moment.

Chasing PowerGal still roams around every day like 3 o’clock charley in their all Gallente all the time gangs. Megathron’s, Remote Tracking Computers, Oneiros = NASTY

Art of War still kills everything in 8G. And people still try and hot drop them, they still send in bait, they still get smart bombing battleships popping in on them…and they all lose. Just go around them.

Wraithguard may have changed their name, but they gank you as good as Ever.

There are more but they haven’t met my ire yet.

Lock?

This thread is a perfect example of the way A4D tends to look upon the things that makes Curse an interesting region.
In that perspective it is an accurate mildly sarcastic review of what makes A4D Appetite 4 Destruction.

No blobs, no Sov, no BS, just small gangs with a desire and will to take on fights.
This merry band of gentlemen know what they are doing and they do it well.

Dio out....

Thank you for the warning, I shant use peoples names directly in the future. I will be more discreet in my dealings. I am sure I was complained about by someone who finds my banter neither clever nor entertaining. My only intent was to differentiate A4D from other posts by not using the term....BUMP. That and I like to write.

It's true it gets blogging sometimes. But it's usually opinionated battle reports that have been incredibly effective in recruiting. It also gives the person a feel for their way of thinking. Plus it's way better than. BUMP
