Not sure how you came up with the term "neurotypical" in that context, but I could try to give a psychological explanation (besides what Akita T said).

1. Over 90% of MMO Gamers are male (estimated, I couldn't be arsed to research the real numbers)

2. Little boy without relevant RL focuses on the game to have some kind of success online that makes up for his shortcomings IRL

3. Has e-success and confidence because of his achievements in a stupid videogame, elitism ensues. Life is good. All is well.

4. Enter the girl: Girl gamers are rare, so just for being female she gets much more attention than our noble protagonist.

5. Boy starts to rage, suddenly just having a female voice on the coms is worth more than all his epic items that he worked so hard for.

6. Kill kill kill kill --*foam*- kill kill kill *more foam* kill kill ---- seizure.....

I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it. Yes, I do feel bad about it.

For realz girl gamer, and, you'd be amazed, dude. I've been playing EVE since around '06ish, and never fails, male corpmates mention how they're going to fanfest and it would be wonderful if I came along and they just happened to have enough for a spare ticket but we'd have to share a room....

Every time, I ask if it's OK if I bring my significant other along, and suddenly, they're having money trouble/grandma died/they have cancer, and they can't afford that ticket...

Actually, sounds more like hunting for girls that cheaply (cleavage shot, more screen for the girl than the game, etc) capitalize on the fact they are girls and making an out-of-game profit (with little or no actual game expertise required or shown) via twitch TV donates and such things because of it.
And they're harassing them ingame (which is as good or bad as harassing ANYBODY ELSE inside the game), not out of game (which would be universally bad).

Basically, they're gankng n00bs who happen to be girls engaging in making an extra buck via low quality vaguely erotic stuff with a MMO excuse backdrop.
As far as target selection goes, I've heard far worse.
Not that I approve of any of it, but there's nothing fundamentally despicable about it.

Yea i agree, he was looking for attention whores not so much girl gamers, mainly those annoying ones that have to let everyone know that they are a girl and you should treat them better.
