Why anyone would send off money, based on un-enforcable and un-punishable claims is beyond me.

As someone on that list, I feel that my 100 million ISK was a worthy investment and has been far outweighed by the quality of entertainment that the New Order has brought me.

A new shareholder invests over 3 bill, so we're past a few more milestones!

I think you know perfectly well what we're buying, and just write as you do because it is the obvious argument.

What we buy when we purchase shares is the right to vote on certain issues that James makes public and, more importantly, an incentive for James to continue running the New Order. We get free value from the Order, it doesn't harm us to donate as thanks and to ensure that it will keep going.

Because I'm wealthier than you are or will ever be in your Eve lifetime and have no problems with throwing money down the drain if it serves a purpose, such as entertainment.

The fact that people apparently get all buttmad over it means that that purpose is being served, incidentally.

Correct, I do know perfectly well what you're buying. You're buying a lot of nothing. Blasting mining barges into nothing using gank ships which are, in turn, blasted into nothing by CONCORD. End result of all your actions is debris. Last I checked the average value of debris was zero.

I actually have bought shares of companies in the past. When I look in my wallet it reminds me that I'm a shareholder & I can vote. Tangible proof of investment with tangible potential for a return on that investment. Something other than a zero sum conclusion.

You, on the hand, don't own any actual shares and therefore you have made no actual investment. Your voting power only goes as far as James315's goodwill and sense of honesty, and frankly I'd sooner trust The Mittani. This thread only proves that too many people have more money than brains.

Now, rename James315 shares to "movie tickets" and everything snaps in place.

I'm for sure not as wealthy as mynna but i did it for the same reasons. The content James is providing is entertainment and i like to read http://www.minerbumping.com/ every once in a while.
