I noticed that interbus has good standing with all 4 empires and negative standing with nobody, so does this mean that doing all my missions for interbus shall make me a friend of all ? The only downside of doing all missions for interbus is that they don't seem to have a LP store, shall that hurt me a lot?

Sisters of EVE (SOE) is a good candidate to 'fix' standings.
The best way to keep standings up is to do missions for two rival faction like Caldari and Gallente so the gains and losses balance out (gains will be more than losses). Try not to do missions against empires.
Take a look at this as well:
http://www.eve-wiki.net/index.php?title=Standings#Standing_Relationships
and especially notice the 'smaller' empires like Ammatar and Khanid.
Note there are also special COSMOS mission that can help with faction standings.

Not being able to spend LP is not very handy of course as it is a large portion of your mission revenue if spend wisely.

Not sure if this info is still correct due to recent changes to Agent and Game Mechanics.....

Interbus agent missions don't have Empire Faction targets since they are jointly owned by all Faction Empires. You could do L4 missions for several weeks before any changes happened to your faction standings. Only a few of the missions will affect your Faction standings and your security status rating. Those would be Anti-Pirate missions such as Worlds Collide, Vengeance, and Blockade. Loyalty points are gained with the mission rewards but there's no LP store available. Also Interbus doesn't offer any storyline missions. This is due to them being positive with all Empire Factions and would be considered an exploit.

So basically if you want to complete missions without affecting your Faction standings, then Interbus would be the one. Usually this would be a good option after gaining high Faction standings with all Empire Factions.

However, if you're looking to build up Faction standings and remain positive with all Empire Factions, I suggest you check out the 'Plan'.

Good luck and welcome to Eve.

P.S.
I've complete about 2/3rds of the 'Plan' and have above +5.00 standing with almost all Empire Factions.

Wow this plan seems to be a lot of work, just getting my interbus standing to 3 is taking me a long time. I think I shall first raise interbus(so I at least have one corp that gives me level 3 missions) and might later try to raise some other standings without ruining some, like the plan suggest.

The problem with interbus is that (unless it has changed recently) they don't have any storyline agents.
This means that you won't get any storyline missions, which are required to gain any faction standings.

The best you can get with them are just corporation standings with interbus which will be pretty useless.

By the looks of it they also don't have any LP store, so missions will be far less profitable.

I'd suggest picking one of the empire corps, and working for them and just accepting that you'll have low standings with some of the other empires.

You can try find one that will have fairly nice standing profile like for example the ammatar mandate which have -3 with minmatar and -2.5 with gallente, while having positive standings with amarr and caldari or Sisters of Eve which have only -1 vs amarr and -0.25 vs caldari.

Yes it seems that some FP stuff is sold for more then the money(+LP) you need to spend to buy it from faction agents, so I have come up with a new plan:

1) I do career missions and other parts of "The Plan" until I have possitive stand(+ some "buffer" standing) with all empires, this won't take as long as going to +5 with all.
2) Do mainly sisters of eve mission but do a few ammatar mandate missions in between them so all factions remains possitive.

The result would be: great sisters of eve standing while keeping possitive standing with all 4 empires.

I have just done some research and you are all absolutely right that I would miss out on a lot of ISK by not having an LP store.

10 x Sisters Combat Scanner Probe cost 1800 LP, 1.800.000 ISK and 10 Combat Scanner Probe I costing 10 x 12000 ISK

Total cost : 1.800.000 + 120.000 = 1.920.000

Currently are people buying Sisters Combat Scanner Prob for 300.000

Total revenue: 300.000 * 10 = 3.000.000

Total Profit: 3.000.000 - 1.920.000 = 1.080.000
Profit for each Lp point spent : 1.080.000 / 1800 = 600

I now really regret all missions I have done for Interbus, I have 11153 interbus LP points, If I had done missions for sisters would those be worth 11153 x 600 = 6691800. I have thrown away over 6 million!

Thanks all for your advise, I shall no longer thrown away money by doing interbus missions

Good job on doing some research. That's the best way to approach everything in this game. Gather intel first.

Building up Faction standings with any of the other Empire Factions will still increase your Faction standings with The Interbus just from gaining derived standings.

Empire Factions = 8 different Factions that control high security systems.

These are my current Empire Faction standings.

Empire Factions................Modified...........(Base)

Minmatar Republic.............+5.29...............(+4.11),
Caldari State.....................+5.28...............(+4.10),
Gallente Federation...........+5.23...............(+4.04),
Amarr Empire....................+5.19...............(+3.99),
The Interbus....................+5.03...............(+3.78),
Ammatar Mandate.............+4.89...............(+3.61),
Khanid Kingdom................+4.65...............(+3.31),
Concord Assembly............+2.56...............(+0.70),

As you can see I have access to almost all Empire Factions level 4 and lower agents. If I wanted to continue doing missions without worrying about declining missions or changing my standings, I would just do missions for The Interbus. But by keeping watch on my standings, I can bounce around to the different Factions and complete a set of 16 regular missions + storyline when needed to keep them all positive and close to equal. That way I have LP's that can be used. Just remember to decline any encounter missions that are against Empire Factions.
