the game was great hard to belive shepards story is over. the ending was well it was unsatifying it didnt appear to have a true renegade ending because i hear all endings are the same. the fact that i only had james and EDI as squad members the whole game. it had no room to explain the reapers i was expecting to get a huge boss fight with harbinger that wouldve been cool. as far as endings go this was terrible.

Did you play it with or without the extended ending DLC?

Not saying it helps, just asking.

Play it with, it doesnt help but it makes the pain less.

There's no redemption for the ending. They should have told but more about the reapers.

But I guess thats what Mass Effect 4 is for...

it pissed me off mainly because it felt rushed a boss fight with the same dude we have been hearing about since ME1 and we dint fight with him. the illusive man being a pawn was obvious to me since the middle of ME2.

But the end of shepards story. damn it sucks. espcially since i got so attachted to my character.

Another mass effect game? idk

or a mass effect MMO? thats what i would like to see

With Biowares track record a Mass Effect MMO might not happen.

Plus everyone would play Asari... it would be the new female night elf druid.

And yes, it did feel rushed. I blame EA for that. I suspect ulterior motives for Greg and Ray the founders of Bioware leaving. I think EA pushed them out or they left in disgust.

Mass Effect 4 is apparently a new story, same universe. So you're not Shepard. My question is are they going to make a new character? Or will we be able to choose our race? That means a hell of a lot more scripted dialogue for them to write.

**Spoilers**

Besides, my Shepard lived at the end! P Or at least you get that 1 second cut scene with him / her drawing a breathe.

I haven't even viewed the 'extended' ending. 2 minutes after i finished, the game was uninstalled and i haven't looked back. I now try to remember the game for the journey, not the ending.

On the MMO note, there have been a couple interviews where Bioware people mention wanting to use the Mass Effect world for an MMO. I've speculated that 4 will be the bridge between single player and MMO.

That's the general consensus of everyone who played.

I think maybe Bioware couldn't have possibly lived up to everyone's expectations after all the buildup, but it doesn't seem like they really even tried to. Ending seemed like it was phoned in.

They learnt well from Peter Molyneux in regards to Fable 1 and over hyping and failing to deliver.

Honestly if they'd have just gone with the whole Reaper Indoctrination Theory that would have been awesome.

But alas.

Plus Mass Effect 3 has a different writer. Drew Karpshyn had left Bioware by this point. Thats why you might notice that EVERYONE in the future is gay / bi sexual. Shocked I blame this on the new lead writer being a woman. It reads like fangirl yaoi fan fiction.

Yep, he's kind of Biowares mascot for SF games.

I ... couldn't parse that sentence, but anyway I just came here to add that Mass Effect 4 hasn't been written as a prequel or sequel at this point. though it exists.

sorry, I don't remember which gaming site I saw that on... but it was a major one, and within the last 24 hours

the old writer also did a few Star wars lagacy of the force series books which is why i recognized the name.
i was just let down

not by the game mind you its the ending

im sure im not the only one who valued not only the gameplay of the series but the overall story telling and how attatched you got to your personal sheperd as you went through a three game journey with him/her

That always seemed a bit too complicated for Bioware's style. Also not a fan of 'twist' endings, personally.

Every second person was gay or bi throughout the entire game Lol, although it is still pretty clear the writing changed hands.

Ok, but you have to agree that 3 turned it up to 11.

And Vrexstus your feelings are shared by 99% of the ME fans. I just imagine my Shepard lived. Thats what the video showed me.

Great game! Real work of art. It is sad that it is over for Shepard but if it went on any longer i am afraid that Shepard image would have been messed up..... Leave on a high note kind of thing
