Greetings,

Happy New Year to every1!

Been awhile since i've been here (2yr sabatical due to RL). So I've read that these statics are now scanned down with probes (which is cool because i can do so with another character). My SP is mostly into mining/orca on this toon with hulks on my others. Looking to do some complexes though to get a change of pace from the lvl 4's with a mael and RNI.

Here's a few questions for my part...

Never been inside these DED rated plexes before so curious if the firetail and hookbill i have for combat will work or go splat in there?

Will I be able to do 2/10's with them or no?

Also, can a noctis go inside the 1/10 and 2/10? if not guess i can modify my heron fitting for salvage/cargo as well.

I've also never noticed an old 3/10 site earlier, are they going to be random in hi-sec now or do I have to get out into mid-low sec?

1/10 ded is for frigates. A focused frigate fit should be able to do it just fine.

2/10 ded is for destroyers, but frigates are allowed too. I have done 2/10 with a t1 frigate, it was breacher setup as a light missile sniper.

Generally speaking I prefer sniper fits for pve. The knife fighter fits are fine, they are just more work and I am lazy, so I prefer snipers.

1/10 up to 4/10 DED rated sites can be found in high security.

Max ship class allowed :

1/10 = Frigate
2/10 = Destroyer
3/10 = Cruiser
4/10 = Battlecruiser

Both ships should be more than enough for 1/10 and 2/10s.

3 and 4/10s you should be using a battlecruiser as others have already said. Due to the static plex changes, you're also gonna have to probe out all of these sites now, so I'm assuming you are swapping ships.

You can't bring a battlecruiser into a 3/10. A 3/10 can be pretty easily done in a frigate still.

You can bring T2 frigates into a 1/10, and interdictors into a 2/10. However, 2/10s are so easy that even a T1 frigate is fine.

The site despawns once you kill the overseer and warp out. The sites are not worth salvaging, you'll get at most 1m of salvage and probably 100-200k tops. Not worth the time.

You're going to want a ship that can hit to 20-30km, which usually means a kestrel, hookbill or hawk, as arty/beam/rail frigs are pretty bad in comparison.

If you have the skills, get a hawk. If you don't, get a kestrel. Hookbills do more paper DPS than a kestrel, but they're limited to kinetic missiles, and you're going to alpha most targets. Since you're alpha'ing stuff, you want more launchers not more pure DPS.

For my part, just wanted to elaborate, i can run/hotbox 4 accounts for my mining fleet (orca + 3x hulks). I have one to fly orca and does combat in lvl 4's with a maelstrom, another toon hulks and lvl 4's with RNI, another toon hulks and noctis/salvage/covert-ops/probing/scanning/freighters, and the 4th hulks and pushing him into production and research. I was going to work up the last 2 into a command ship and logistics so I could run lvl 5's but that's been scrapped/on hold with lvl 5's all being pushed out into low-sec.

Also i'm out in caldari space.

Finishing off BC5/Des5 before the teircide so won't be able to get into an AS for a couple months on both combat toons with T2 LM's

But I could do these in the interim:

116dps (511 volley), 41%cap, 1005m/s, 36km optimal range

Hi Bos,

Not sure if ISK is much of an issue but I would drop out the 3 x cap rechargers and the caldari navy shile booster, replace the 4 modules with a Gistii B- Type small shield booster. use the 3 mod slots for something more usefull if your cap stable.

Yep, when the isk account gets a bit fatter I can make the jump to some deadspace modules Smile Republic/Domi Target Painter was what I had in mind or perhaps swap the rigs for fuel bay ones and then get a sensor booster so i could snipe from farther away. Or even perhaps toss an invul hardener on there so i can laugh at cruisers Twisted

If you have four accounts, go into lowsec. That's enough for one scout + prober, one booster, and two combat chars. It's much safer than you think, and you get a LOT more isk.

I explore quite a lot, and ive seen these DED 1 and 2 and quite a few ded 4.

What would a decent T1 setup be for a rifter?
I guess im gonna have to artillery fit and speed kite it?
My shield and armor resistance skills are rubbish btw.

ded 1 and 2: arti rifter would be the easy way to do it, just load ammo with range bonus and kite.

ded 4: one time i got careless and lost ac hurricane so i am not doing that again. now i carry arti with me, if i find one, i fit arti and go do it.

T1 probing frigs are enough to run 1/10 and 2/10, did it yesterday with a probe, no problem, just ab around, and pulse your small shield booster once or twice during the site. 3/10 sould be doable in the same fashion, but would take longer.
