Newbie Miner Needs Help

I signed up for this game quite awhile back but have only recently gotten around to playing it; my recent experiences as a newbie in this game have not made me want to continue, however. Upon completing the tutorial and asking around for a corp to to join, I was approached by an experienced player. He told me that I could join his corp as a miner, and that it was a great way to make enough "ISK" to pay for my subscription and have lots of fun; this sounded great, so I joined his corp and committed suicide so as to respawn at the headquarters for the corp I had just joined...

I was not at all prepared for what I found upon reaching the corporation's "star system" (85-B52). Dozens (maybe hundreds?) of newbies like me were corralled into asteroid fields and forced to mine constantly, with guards in huge ships that dwarfed the puny mining ship they gave me. Anyone who tried to get near the stargates to leave the system ran into forcefield bubbles and were swiftly shot down; I left the corp hoping suicide would put me back in a High Security area, but I just respawned at the corporation's space station. After some googling I then tried to change my medical station to another station, but since I had left the corporation it said I didn't have access to those services; I seem to have no way of leaving the system, and the players forcing people to mine keep shooting me down when I refuse to go to an asteroid field.

I heard EVE was a hard-knock game, but this took me by surprise. Is this what most of the game is like?

Another reason why Null needs to be fixed.

Log in around downtime, when there are few around, and escape.

9.5/10, would read again.

I'm pretty sure your clone contract gets automagically revoked and moved somewhere after you're no longer part of the corporation.

Prove me wrong and get a full ten points!

I tried, I keep getting shot down. I run into these forcefield orbs when I try to "Space-Warp" to a stargate, and they stop me from warping out.

This is the dude who posted yesterday:

I'm in the process of joining Goonwaffe (after my 5bn Background Check Fee is processed, and my caps are transported to VFK); I was discussing current fleet strategy with my recruiter, and he let that drop (just kidding, he said he doesn't mind if I post about it).

So.. Yeah.

So.. Yeah.

I hope his caps are fit correctly. It isn't triage carriers anymore. Blap dreads are the in thing, as well.

Wait, he has caps but is a newbie...

Some of us have good jobs and can afford to spend real money on videogames, if it will enhance our enjoyment. I also like to plan ahead, I'd like to be able to fly carriers and wanted to lock in a price now. Though I don't think I'll be seeing those ships again... Ugh

Well, sad story for sure if it's truthful. If not, then it's a good tall tale.

Anyway, if the station is NPC owned, just access the Medical services and select : Change Station - then pick a station you want your Medical clone to be in. By clicking on the Change Station button, a list of all stations that you can select from will be displayed.

If it's player owned, which is probably the case, you can do what others have said and try to escape. Since you've already left the corp, more than likely you're now shoot on sight. That basically places you deep inside a hostile area with little chance of escaping.

Since you're now in a hostile area, you could try praying to CCP (file a petition in-game) to have mercy on your poor soul and grant your character a one time relocation from hostile space back to high security. Very doubtful but worth a try.

Good luck.

Finally an informative post, Thank You. Unfortunately the "Space-Station" is player owned, so I'll try the in-game petition.
