I've been trying to scan for High sec combat sites for like 5 hours now.

1) Do they even exist???

2) first I found like 7 damn Wormholes. After that tried and failed to find 4 signatures i a row. Seriously, I do it like all them youtube guides do it. I've got Pinpointing to 4 and Rangefinding to 3. Its highsec ffs. 4 IN A ROW???
I tried 5 probes and 7 probes. I use a Helios with A Sisters launcher and Sisters probes. I just cant see that I do it any differently than the guides so what is the deal? Do I really need everything to 5 for that many highsec signatures???

Yes, they exist.

As for "not finding" signatures... are they disappearing? Say, at around the 25% threshold? If so, you need to check your filters; the signatures are almost certainly disappearing because you are filtering out their type. Your skills indicate that you should be able to pin most anything with patience.

Also, move off the trade hubs. Especially if you're playing on "prime time". Even if you find a combat site, someone else has likely found it first or will come to compete with you after you have entered the site (which is not necessarily a bad thing if you like the extra excitement).

Yes figured as much. Just a question. Are the any connection between population density and combat site density?

According to my experience, the density is not related to population. So in high population areas, there are less sites to explore per explorer. Simple as that.

Yeah the filters thing can be a pain in the ass sometimes

Re: population vs site density, I'd just like to add (not to you in specific, just in general) that it's not how few players are traveling through systems, it's how few explorers are visiting the systems. There are lots of really quiet systems with almost no traffic, in fact, so quiet that the only traffic is like-minded explorers who will run all the worthwhile sites.

None the less, best of luck in finding shinies o7
