If you have nothing better to train, then yes.

I have large blaster and rail spec 5 and don't regret it.

You'll know when you need to train up a weapon specialization to V. It will be when you have zero idea what ELSE to train instead.

With remapping you can have it trained in less than 30 days. Large autos would only take 27 days for me.

With Remaps and Implants, yes its worth it when there is noting more pressing/worthwhile to train. I am currently working my way through the Spec V's on all guns, got Large Artillery to V, Medium Artillery and Autocannon to V, rest to follow.

At some point your going to want all gunnery skills to V. It's your choice which you do first however I am training all support skills to V then immediately training specs to V

I can see Lg Blaster Spec 5 being useful on the Kronos and Talos. I'd rather have Lg Pulse Spec 5 though.

Ed: And in reality, I've got ~95M SP on Liang and still haven't trained any of the specs to 5. Maybe once I polish off the rest of my support skills. And EAF5, Marauders 5, and Black Ops 5. And I think there's some HIC skill I haven't trained.

Is this 2% damage going to be the very last way to squeeze that extra damage into your fit? Then yes. Proceed to train. Is there anything else that will take less? Then train that first.

1st those +5's set +pod price will cost you more than a T2 fitted cruiser, ad eventually the price of a T2 assault frig full fit and you're not far from the 500M mark.

How much motivating is this to pvp with implants?- Imho it isn't, it's not worth the effort for such little dps improvement.

The DPs increase if you have all your other support skills @ V is minimal. In EFT I think it ranges from about 10 DPS frigates to 30 DPS BS's or something like that on paper.

I'm not sure what the hit variations range is in game. Penetrating hits vs. Glancing blows and whether or not it might make the 2% bonus unnoticeable.

Personally I have all the support @ V and the specs @ IV and have never had a complaint. But like people have said if there is another skill that could benefit you more then train that.

Did you know that some people PvP with pirate implant sets worth 2-5x that much?

2% isnt worth it for a months training.

Cross-train another race and never regret it.
