despite being inferior to the jovians we have managed to mass produce titans and dreads, something the jovians only managed to produce 3 of that we are aware of.

They haven't because they have never needed them.

note that no one has discovered a living sleeper or talocan 2 races that were free of dna manipulation.

Uhh save for the living sleepers that Marcus Jror found and where the Amarr started taking the DUST implants from.

i havnt read the source of this info that your referring to but am familiar with the video they show of dust, that is far from a living sleeper that they get the implant from, to quote them it was a intact body, extreme degeneration of a body would leave the body useless and the implant intact thus the only thing that we really saw out of such a massive discovery such as a intact sleeper body being the implant.

i could very much so be wrong about this and they released some chronicle or whatever but as far as galactic announcements and official ccp info i have seen little to nothing to support. if we found a living sleeper one would assume that we would of seen headlines about interviews with said living sleeper, new information about the purpose of wh space, what happened to their race, why they went into such a inert state. things along those lines

reasoning for this is we see galactic headlines about crap that means very little to us such as the stuff about small colonies being attacked for who knows why. something as massive as a living member of a race we have been hounding down for years and launching the biggest exploration crusade sense the initial null explorations to me would see like major headline news.

sorry got a little distracted with my long winded speech, to answer the posts question in short the capsule was worthless to the jovians but in the facts stated above it was also an invaluable tool of control that without would of ensured the doom of their race

Nice speech :) You and other posters have brought up the topic of this Jovian disease. I doubt they will ever cure it because their trying to "fix problems" caused this in the first place. Consider this: The Jovians tried to curb their negative energies by "switching off" their aggressive emotions. These negative energies still existed and were forced to seek another negative outlet, such as that of depression. This is why the jovian disease causes sever depression and then death, it overloads the system.

I doubt the capsule was worthless to them. They understood it, but their perfected minds were unable to assertain an adequate solution to its functioning role in the transendence of death. So they gave the capsule to another race more skilled in the art of death, the empires, and observered them as they re-created it into the capsule we see today...

... Then they stole the idea :(

to the ever logic driven jovians the solution to the problem is as simple as rebooting a computer that has become corrupted with viruses. they cannot use the local partition on the computer but if they can find the original disk they can do a reboot.
you bring up a good point that the disease is a result of their "energies" being blocked similar to a dam and eventually breaking it.
a more scientific/biological approach rather than spiritual to this is more valid in my eyes as we know our brains are chemical engines removing certain chemicals causes disorders. in example depression ( the main starting signs of the disease) is caused by chemical imbalances in the brain that result in the brains impulses become distorted similar to sound trying to go through water. the brain is unable to process it properly and causes a chain reaction resulting in depression and suicidal thoughts, mood swings , all of which are symptoms of the jovian disease. the version that we are aware of in the real world is simply a imbalance that can be corrected by medications, the jovians have simply removed the process all together thus why they cannot fix it as simply as we can. hence the need for a dna reset and restoration to this process

I think you need to be cautious of looking at the Jovian Disease in purely medical terms, for the Jove it is Sociatal Problem. The root cause is Existential nihilism, the idea that life has no intrinsic meaning or value that hase beset an entire civilisation.

The Jove have lost the very purpose for living.

It comes from Templar One. The Sleepers are indeed sleeping, connected to the AI construct they created to scape the real world and the jovian disease. So what we did was basically mass murdering them when plugging them off to take their implants. They cannot be safely awaken without the knowledge held only by the Enheudanni (a group left behind to do exactly that).
