Does GOON pay CCP? They seem to get away with a lot and nobody cares.

Scamming new players in the recruitment channel is below the belt, but you had 4.5B in assets...

Everyone knows about the scams when joining goonswarm, it's your own fault for not checking the internet before joining. It was stupid to give the goons all your stuff, and just a stupid to come to the forum looking for comfort and support.

I'm a relatively respectable citizen. Multiple felon perhaps, but certainly not dangerous.

we don't scam new players because they generally don't have anything worth scamming

Actually it is great for business. I looked into trying this game after reading about the Guiding Hand Social Club heist. I said to myself: thats ****** awesome I gotta try that game. Hundreds, no thousands have done the same.

yet still you gloss over the reason you were warned in game: use of racist language which you cannot repeat here as you know it would be the last thing CCP allowed you to post.

Your sanctimonious hypocrisy whilst thinking we will ignore your vile racism is disgraceful.

Shame on you!

People get scammed in EVE every day. Scamming belongs within the game and is officially approved by the makers of EVE.

And why would they stop it? As long as the scamming is kept within the context of the game mechanics, there's nothing wrong with it. In fact, it makes the game far more intriguing - and fyi, I've just been had by this very recruiting scam. Do I have a problem with it? Sure I do. But it's not the devs who are at fault, it's the person who scammed me, and my own failure to identify a scam. To that end, I intend to make the scammer's life hell as soon as the opportunity presents itself, but I have no problem with scamming being a legitimate feature of the PVP game word that we choose to be a part of. If you don't like it, then please leave EVE.

I will recoup all my losses, nothing is irreplaceable in this game, even stuff that you spent a lot of time acquiring. What did I really lose? Some free time that I would have wasted on another game anyway if I hadn't known about EVE, and some pixels.

Scamming is not an ~ingame~ mechanic, it is social engineering- out of game..

And the only thing that ever changes hands is pixels, followed by frothy furious words on forums about said pixels.

scamming is not a mechanic

if you don't like it because it goes against your vision of eve as a world of ponies and rainbows, maybe you're playing the wrong game
