Im a fairly new to eve, I have done the epic ark and have been set in the right direction of how to use my skills and what to learn over the next couple of months. I have tried exploration and even mining and just about all the other jobs in eve. What im looking for is a pirate coach or possibly some people who are interested in fleeting up and roaming low sec to learn to pirate together. If you can be of any help hit me up in game im on about 10 hours a day on most days if im not working the studio.
Lets group up and take over the galaxy :p I wish it was that easy but hey got to start Somewhere BTW im not looking for a corp or alliance just looking for some people to play and learn from or with

I started my pvp career wit canflipping. It was actually a good way to start, since the people i was fighting had about as much experience as i did with pvp.

After that i just fit a cheapo frigate and solo roamed lowsec for a while

You will literally be blown up and podded when you jump into low-sec, I'd not risk it if I were you.

That being said, start roaming and getting into fights in your local neighborhood, you're bound to make some friends and find a corp. Be bold.

A & CR is thataway ->

Seriously, my advice is join a player corp... NPC corps are.... tainted...

If you join a decent player corp they will teach you the ropes... Hell even if you join RvB or join some Agony classes to get to grips with fitting and PvP in general...

If you drop into LowSec right now you'll probably wake up in a nearby station screaming wtf????

Do you seriously think every low sec to high sec gate is camped by large gangs? Also you can only lose your pod in low-sec if you are very slow, there was some lag or something, or the fleet had instalock interceptors and a lot of luck on their side

Now, more than ever, we need a dislike button.

If you dont know what you are doing (i.e. have no PvP experiece) then this is a likely outcome...

You make a valid point, not all entry points are camped 23/7, but by the sounds of the original post, the OP has limited experience of the PvP mechanics of the game which puts them at a distinct disadvantage what the eventually come across one that is...

look up for my corp, we do accept newbies, although I'd make sure you actually know how to sustain yourself before even applying.

Do you seriously think that every word of every post in GD is completely matter-of-fact?

It's very difficult I suggest you post on the recruitment forums or attempt to join one of the newbie teaching corps like EVE University. Finding people you like to play with though is crucial, solo is okay but its always nice to have friends to back you up when you need the help.

This post was loving crafted by a member of the Official GoonWaffe recruitment team. Improve the forums, support this idea: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&find=unread&t=345133

Yeah, sorry about that. EVERY GATE IS CAMPED 23.5/7 is a popular meme here.

i see people saying avoid low sec because you will be blown up the second you get there saying WTF???

My advise is to to low sec and Get blown up... seriously... i don't mean that in a bad way but its the best way to learn. go in get blown up figure out what went wrong and go again. keep repeating until you find a way that works. and i assure you that learning first hand is far better than listening to a thousand people telling you how to fit your ship and each one saying something different. plus along the way i would place ISK that you would pick up a possie or gang if you get good enough. people will always be looking out for skilled pilots to fly with

Although this may work for some people it normally ends the same way, you having a dead frig and having to spend large amounts of isk (for new players) for the slightest amount of PvP experience. Go around your local non faction warfare low sec and take a look at some of the corps to see if they are recruiting. Joining a PvP corp can provide you with lots of information on how to fly and for your ships. Trust me its much better then flying rifters into gangs for months.

First step before PvP is income. Secure an income method, get isk in bank. Once a fitted ship costs less than 10% of your bank, then buy five with fittings & go pew till you loose them.
But just running out there madly you will end up iskless

You won't find anything in low sec.
Spent 5 hours the other day roaming low sec only to find some T3 Battlecruiser gaurded by gate guns.
Anyone else in local usualy goes into a station as soon as they see you.
But I do like making threats, like saying "How crispy do you like your pod?"

Lolwut: "Yes, you kids don't know how lucky you have it. These days noobs get given free tackle ships for PvP but back in the old days the only tackle ships we were given were our pods. We had to use them to bump their rookie ships out of alignment to stop them warping off."

I have fairly decent kb stats and even I have trouble finding people to roam with without hoisting their flag first.

If you haven't tried Agony or RvB ganked roams yet, you should try and see if that's enough to give you the confidence to go pirating on your own.
