So CCP.. ..are you desperate?

Are you soooo desperate that you allow people to create trial accounts 'WITHOUT' email validation?

I just created a trial account to test the waters before i re-activated and to my shock i didn't have to log into my emails to validate who i say i am. Not sure whether you know this but due to being Iclandic programmers etc, you're open to spam attacks! macro bots that simply enter random email address to spam shite is a problem fix your loop hole!

p.s cheers for the pwesents!

You could still macro spam them if there was a verification process. The acount might not get fully created but the system would still have to clear the request...

I think you should get banned for a few more week.

And you can go full account with an ingame plex and they will never know who you are. I could be scammed in Jita or something and there would be no way for CCP to do anything Shocked

That is quite obvious sir, WOW players do NOT have the patience to go check mails before playing games! If CCP brings some validation proccess into the game it will clean up the community a LOT.

Oh dear......

Clearly they are desperate, they keep letting trolls back after they ban them. On topic, email verification means very little when the EVE client can pull IP information, MAC address and other stats directly from your computer.

For every 1000 people who sign up, I can guarantee you that at least one idiot types the email address wrong and decides it isn't worth the hassle to repeat the process.
