Whenever I have a spare billion, I go to Jita and double it.

Define the mininum amount required to be considered a large amount of isk.

I thought my first million was a large amount of isk as I had few skills to utilise - waste it on.

This is not a signature.

I have a one man corp where the bulk of my ISK and Gear lives. Wallet divisions with multiple Billions sitting safe and sound...

I'm actually not that rich, only 8 billion isk and around 2.5 billion of assets.

I keep it on the one character but then I'm careful when in the market and won't accept contracts, only contracts I deal with are the ones I make, on rare occassions.

But I don't really have much to spend it on at the moment as I have 95% of the books I'm likely to need and a series of ships stored including a Tengu and Legion. Makes me wonder what those that have loads more actually do with it other than buy PLEX off of the ingame market to fund their accounts.

Creating alts that you dont ever play to hold the isk is the way to do it.

For those players with multiple billions of (liquid) isk, how do you manage it? I'm only wondering how you handle your isk... no investments in other player schemes or assets.

I see two methods:

Keep it all in your wallet
  • A market typo could wipe you out

  • Single person corp
  • Use corp wallet divisions as "bank accounts"
  • What if you want to stay in an NPC corp?

  • Any other ideas?

I'm a little confused as to why you stipulate "no investments". I didn't make my trillion or so by letting it sit idle...

Oh I'm not against investment at all! I'm merely asking how others manage the immediate, liquid isk portion of their wealth.

Oh. Well, in that case, I never have much liquid.

I wish I had billions to worry about. Sad People have more billions than I have millions.

As said elsewhere in this thread, generally having liquid is a bad thing. However, at times you might run into the many hundreds of billions liquid while shifting out of one thing and into something else.

I use a banker alt, and alt corp wallet divisions. Wallets for each different project/manip/spec. I find 7 to be plenty as I am typically not funneling ISK into more than 3-4 major projects at once anyway. This also makes it easier to eyeball profit and such without having to pull it all down with api and crunch with a program.

Keeping a modest sum, say 20-100b on your trader char when you are actively doing updates is about all you ever need. Limits your risk to typo, limits you from keeping too much liquid. That is by far the greater danger. You might make 2-3 really nasty mistakes for a few bill at most. Leaving liquid is going to cost you far more.
