I know it always sounds trite, but it is very true that you cannot know or love someone else without knowing and loving yourself first.

Where is the cast-iron, irefutable, proof of this?

You must be a very young child to not understand the concept of subjectivity.

Therefore, this thread is not for you. Leave.

You must be illiterate not to understand that making statements such as "it is very true" is misleading and lacking in accuracy.

No. You are just bored and pathetic. Another semantically nitpicking nerd. You give us all a bad reputation.

edit: Also, don't ever take a philosophy course, God help you. OR read anything involving 'self-help'. Won't do you any good anyway as you are too far gone.

yup.

And it came to a dead halt once he discovered the Bounty I put on him. He had none so I took care of that.

Shut him up like a pacifier.

I could tell you but then I'd have to charge you.

Otherwise, some hints: think about it, by reversing the question.

In other words, look within.

Why can't women find stable men on Eve? This should be a meat market!

In a game that is over 90% male, presumably, and a fair number of them single, you don't see many tales of "I met my man on Eve ....picket fence ...happy, happy dance."

I'll be honest. While I'm not in the market, I've met a much higher percentage of "nice" chaps in other (non-FPS) MMOs. The "nice" part being superficial -- small talk etc. but an important first step.

Aside from the fact there are a lot of unstable players with the social skills of a space barbarian, the game is built on mistrust -- if you want to survive. A lot of men and women don't talk much.

Additionally, many of the male species exhibit excessive displays of testosterone and asshattery --not exactly attractive traits, even if for purposes of entertainment. The females (who do talk) are often as off-putting, if only to fit in.

As such, in part, EvE isn't a conducive atmosphere to romance. It's difficult enough to find good friends in Eve...and "love" requires friendship.

I haven't covered it all, -- and note there are some winners (male and female in the game) -- but your best bet is going to meet-ups...though I can't imagine a woman in her right mind attending. Straight

I already married Romeo.

But you're a shinning example of why women don't find (real) men here... and vice-versa.

Not quite sure what a shinning example is :D

My point is what females want is FAKE

And I'm more than happy to BE fake as long as it gets me laid; chicks sure don't want the Truth.

So unnecessary. I'm handsome, rich, single, fit, smart, creative, and all around amazing. EVE keeps me out of trouble. I'm an artist, and i've been a medic, a mechanic, and I've deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq. I donated bags of stuffed animals from the Disney store to Toys For Tots this Christmas. I'm currently putting myself through school for mechanical engineering, and I'm following the transfer agreement for UCLA's school of engineering. I'm presently DD'ing my friends who are attending a NYE rave in Anaheim. I don't drink alcohol.

Is that ok with you?

I also sing.

There is obviously a problem if you're so defensive. Did I say anything about you or anyone here directly? If you'll note, I was originally talking about the game environment not being conducive to relationships.

I'm sorry if you have personal hang-ups in spite of your success.

The fact that you can't carry on a normal conversation speaks volumes, though.

Start a new thread. The risk of transposing the advice is quite high, potentially leading to unfavorable outcomes.

Homosexual dudes are often very very similar to heterosexual ladies, in my experience.

Easier to attract them though.

HA I know what you're trying to say, and again it's something mean, but you're correct because regardless of sexual orientation, attractive is attractive
