I'd at least like the option to turn their brightness down. Sometimes the fog is so dense that it becomes difficult to see the target you're trying to click on

I had one of the corrected sites the other day. It's a lot better seeing, and better looking.

Hopefully they will get around to the others.

Just remembered it was either Sansha Watch or its escalation Nation on the Rise.

No, I will not. I use my ultrabook for casual gaming and I play with low settings. Clouds are terrible.

That cloud looks like an upgraded PC!

Now, more than ever, we need a dislike button.

Its a real issue in the game. If everything in the game runs smooth but then you hit the clouds and your FPS takes a huge hit there is something wrong. There is no sense of self entitlement here. Plus we are paying for a product, that product should be tip top.

No. Dev-time for an issue that is acknowledged by the devs themselves as a poorly implemented resource hog.
Getting a bigger pen doesn't solve the problem that the hog is a hog, and it needs to be fixed anyway.

Why do you feel they should get away with horribly sloppy and shoddy programming?

Did I read the dev response in that first post right? Is he actually saying that it is actually acceptable for a rig with a GTX 580 and 12 gigs of RAM to drop to 35 FPS in clouds?

Even on my old crap card 3 years ago I had no issue with lag or with the effects.

The only reason it happens that makes any sense is trying t o run this game on absolutely minimal systems.

It reminds me of the folks who want everything to stll run on Windows 98.

If one is on a cheap system and running EVE on Low settings and still having this issue, there is something else going on and nothing to do with EVE or how it's programmed.

In my opinion they just do not want to properly investigate their own machine's issues. MAy as well blame CCP and hassle them. It's the easy way in the Age of Self-Entitlement.

Also, again, they have worked on it, as I have seen for myself. If it's still not good enough, there is probably nothing further they can do.

yadda yadda.
…and that's all well and nice but doesn't change the fact that it's an acknowledged resource hog that needs work, and the solution to that problem is still not to get a bigger pen for the pig.

“Just upgrade” is the laziest excuse for shoddy programming imaginable.

Oh, and no, they've also said that there is more to be done so not even the equally tired “they've done all they can” excuse works.

..............and this one again.

Why should the 98% of the playerbase that has no issue here deal with nerfed or vanished graphics just so some can play EVE while simultaneously having their coffee at Starbucks ?

Also, as shown at Fanfest last year with the 'infinite polygon' ships requiring DX 11....what are these folks going to do then ? Asj for ships to look like nerfed nonsense as well ?

Sorry, but I have to defend on CCP's side for once on this.

Except it doesn't have much to do with hardware, it is shoddy programming. Some people with far better specs are having problems while people with crappy specs are not. Also, some people that were perfectly fine before their latest "fix" are now getting crazy FPS drops from them. It is just broken.
