First time wh, forgot my probe launcher...lost in J141812

Hi Folks!

Well, as mentioned in the subject, I scanned a c1 wh, with my heron, entered it, bookmarked the exit, left and got my drake in and of course i forgot to fit a probe launcher. Well, at least cleared some sleeper-sites but my exit despawned and now I'm lost in wh-space.

If the owner of the wh called "J141812" would be so kind and scan an exit for me, or if anybody finds an exit, please contact me ingame. I'll pay for it!

And yes, I know, I'm a noob, but be gentle, it was my first wh-experience and I promise, I'll never forget my probe launcher again! ;)

TBH it will just be quicker to just self destruct and go earn that isk back instead of waiting.

I suggest some survival techniques in the meantime. Ration your food and water. Try to think healthy thoughts.

Congrats, you've ended up in the fun position that many of us have run into one time or another.

Now you just need to ask yourself: Is it going to be easier to suicide now, and work on making back the lost isk immediately, or wait, and hope for someone to be around when you are, and be kind enough to give you a way out, and not make any isk while you wait?

(ps, i'd make this decision before you go over your clone's limit :) )

Hi again!

Well, i knew, someone would say, podklill yourself, but:

- my Clone got plenty of sp, i could sit in the wh for about 2 months^^ and my imps are worth ~100 mio ISK
- my Ship is t2-fit and i got some sleeper-loot in my cargo, earning that money back, would take a while for me tbh
- the wh isn't empty, there are some POS with a docked transporter and a docked t3-cruiser and i found a thread in some tradeforum, where the former owner sold the wh to another, this thread is one week old, so there must be someone

--> about 300mio ISK loss, would be horrible for me, so I decide to wait for about 2-3 days...let's hope someone with a heart for newbies is out there :D

as with all things eve you are sooner to find someone that will try to kill you rather than help you. announcing your position and saying help me will likely result in someone finding you and harrassing you and scamming you. just pod your self and starve the sickos that exist in eve of their sadistic fun and go enjoy your self

seriously dude you just dug your own grave, leme translate the statement above for you. HEY community of kill board obsessed players defenseless 400m isk kill here cooommmmmeeee and get it * rings the dinner bell*
you literally have a 2% chance that someone will help you out and a 98% chance that a band of people will come in camp every exit and scan you out to get that kill on their board.
im not saying this to be mean or to troll you i am a experienced wh vet and know what im talking about also played the game for several years. take my advice you will take the loss by your own doing or by force, one way will be far more annoying figure out which one that is for your self and in the future contact TRUSTED friends to help you not the forums.

Ye...your prolly right...as mentioned above, i'm new to wh-business and thought, may some dudes out there aren't that cruel, killing a lost newb in there wh and show a little merci^^
But, as in every game, i guess most people are just like "kill kill kill!", seen that in other games before, will see it in this and other games in the future...

**** happens, but thank's for the advice :(

Finding the wh you're in by pure luck is nearly impossible, you will have 'better' (read, higher than 0) by talking in local... Which isn't a good idea either, but hey, if you're going to lose that ship+pod anyway... Just don't pay anybody before you're safe.

Eject ship, bookmark position, selfdestruct, return were you found the WH, - BOOKMARK WH THIS TIME-, hope your ship is still there, get out. This way you have at least a chance at recovering your ship

Well then you broke the cardinal rule of EVE. Don't fly what you can't afford to lose.

You are very unlikely to get help. Not because everyone in EVE are jerks, but the sheer number of C1 WH's mean it is highly unlikely anyone will even find you.

Yeah as everyone else has said your best bet is to self destruct. Before that I would just find the locals pos(s) and convo someone online. Ask them for a way out, maybe they'll want isk or maybe they'll just kill you but at least you tried. o7

I would like to have a guy trapped in my system. I wouldn't kill him, but i would offer him to work for me for a few hours to pay for the exit. Run these anoms, then give me the loot and you will be free. And if he prefers to self destruct i'm ok with that.

Sure, a few blues are less isk than a proper payment, but ISK isn't everything for me and i don't have wet dreams with fake money or shiny killboards.

I'm a sadic guy that loves the company of the Awakened Patrollers, the scenery and the background music of this game. That is all.

Good News everyone!

Some nice folk (don't sure, if i'm allowed to name him, but thanks alot again mate!) sold me an exit into HIGH-SEC! Yes, that's right, high-sec!

So, selfdestruct? Podkill myself? How much chance someone finds the w-space i was trapped in AND is friendly AND has a hs-exit? Don't know, but could be some late christmas wonder, hm?

So, in the end, i payed 50 mio for the safest exit i could image, which was btw just 10 jumps away from my home-station *lol*, and sold about ~90mio sleeper-loot!

Happy new year and don't forget: Not every forlorn situation is the end of your pod! Just keep up and hold on!

You were indeed lucky. I'm glad to hear someone helped you out though. I'd rather you get the hang of it and come back to exchange bullets with us later than have someone cash in a quick cheap kill.

An alternative to 'always fit a prober launcher' is to get a scanner alt; just don't get them locked out or let them die.

If I would spot someone farming my home system, I would shoot him.
If someone contacted me with the same plea as in OP, I would let the guy out.

I'm not sure if a drake with C1 loot on a wh-corp killboard with 10+ faces in the kill is a fame or shame :)
I've seen many of those. 10 sheep can kill a wolf, but that wouldn't make them anything other than wooly cuddly horny cattle ;-)

P.S.: Welcome to WH. A place where you actually learn to play the game at its best.
