I am sorry for disrupting your discussion. I apologize to you and Pieter Tuulinen for what I said.

Msr. Mal'achi.

Thank you for you kind words.

I have a temper myself so I appreciate the strength of character it takes to speak those words.

I hope your fortunes improve.

For the first time since I started the conversation, he looks me dead in the eye. In his gaze are steel jackhammers, quiet vengeance, a hundred thousand orbital bombs frozen in still life.

I find this disturbing in the extreme. Especially considering the recent announcement titled - [-WHG-] Public Announcement.

Forgive my confusion on this matter, but, I believe I may be misunderstanding you...

You wish to allow the Caldari State to construct a stargate in Luminaire that completely bypasses your entire Tripwire defense grid, to be owned and operated by the State, to allow unfettered and largely unregulated traffic of both civilian and possibly military means to and from said system?

This is a gracious and surprisingly advantageous offer for us. What's in it for the Federation?

Why not simply allow normal peacetime traffic to pass through and be monitored by your own secure customs and defense coverage?

No, you understand me correctly. "Tripwire" be damned - It is far better to make Luminaire the sole point of contact between the two of us than to essentially compromise Federal sovereignty through several systems. A corridor between Caldari Prime and the rest of Caldari space would be an open wound and an eternal risk.

Peace can be kept through both sides maintaining enough ordnance in the system to ensure mutual destruction in the event of hostilities. I don't believe either one of us would dare to compromise a peace of that kind.

Msr. Belfeur. I sincerly appreciate your contribution and am encouraged to see that you agree a solution to this conflict is possible. However as a business man I don't see how keeping the Caldari home world (Luminaire VII) segregated from the larger system can end well. While I agree that the sovereignty issues within the system should be "absolute" regarding military or police entities, surely only through interaction can eventual understanding be possible. After perhaps a short cooling off period.

I respectfully disagree, Captain. History has shown that interaction between the Federation and the State leads to conflict. The eventual goal of any peace process should be to draw a curtain of non-interaction between the two of us.

EDIT: Between the Federation and the State, that is. Not between you and me, Captain.

It pains me to report that responses to my inquires made directly to The Wiyrkomi Honor Guard personnel, regarding this situation, were themselves extensively redacted.

The redacted portions were simply replaced with the now familiar, [REDACTED - REF: Communications Policy - AUTH: V. G 31.12.114].

Apparently this policy of redaction extends even to WHG's corporate leadership. A very troubling development indeed.

I have been assured that the current "personal audit" is not directly related to WHG personnel's participation in this discussion.

Understanding how any attempt to effect this situation may be seen as interference in internal State affairs and may only serve to harm the effected personal.

I think it best to make no further comments related to it until such time as the audit is complete and it conclusions announced.

Msr. Belfleur again thank you for your measured and positive contribution. I also thank you for the kind clarification. Fortunately I understood your meaning prior to it.

I look forward to speaking with your directly in the very near future.
