I would like to announce that Lai Dai Research Spacelane Security will be operating in conjunction with the Destiny Foundation to ensure that it acts in full compliance with the Lai Dai Subsidiary Control Board, the Caldari Provisional Directorate and the Chief Executive Panel. These operations will begin in isolated high-security space pockets on a trial basis before proceeding to low and null security systems. We shall present progress documentation by request to other State entities to assist in assessing the Foundation's activities for security or co-operation purposes.

Excellent. I'm certain that your scientist's objectivity will allow our citizens to reap the maximum benefit of these worthy outreach efforts whilst ensuring they are not a sugar-coated poison pill.

They're not aimed at our citizens, Tuulinen-haan. The people they're specifically aiming at are non-citizen indigenous populations living inside what CONCORD recognises as Caldari space, off of corporate property.

Met a guy from one of those cultures once. He became a citizen and took a job overseeing a corporate farming facility on his homewolrd. Apparently his siblings and parents and whole village hated him for it.

Never mind that his kids got an education and career out of his decision, never mind that his family's quality of life measurably improved. They saw the megacorps as this nebulous evil in the sky and hated him for bargaining with them. I could sympathize when he didn't have much that was positive to say about them.

Still, it does reflect a little badly on us that such cultures exist, don't you think?

There's no such thing as 'off corporate property'. These entities are merely tolerated on unused property. Therefore anything that is invested into bettering infrastructure might just get flattened when the owner decides to use that space for a project.
