Concordokin For Shooting Abandoned 'Blue' Wreck

So I had just fitted up a Stabber for some PvP and was interested in trying out the guns to see its projection range. Warp to a belt - Don't see any rats, but I do see an abandoned Wreck. Shoot it, receive a security status penalty and get CONCORDOKIN!

So why does this lead to being Concorded? What criminal action is being taken, when you can loot the wreck freely without becoming suspect? Did not receive a warning message due to my safeties being off, but I do not see why this results in getting concorded. Did I heart the wrecks feelings?

So you turned off the safety in hisec and are upset you get concordokened?
There is a word for you, but you need to go back to your village to get it.
Safties off in real life take a body part, in EVE it only takes a ship.
I demand Concord start podding and taking sp away!

More so the fact of being Concorded over shooting an abandoned wreck. To me that doesn't seem very criminal, if the wreck was owned by another player IE: Yellow, I can understand.

You do realize you could have just targeted a roid and saved yourself ?mil isk and the sec status hit, right?

BTW that's what happens when you turn off the safety in Hi Sec.

This does seem like a bug or oversight in the coding.

Still, looking for PvP... in hisec? Something you're not telling us?

Looting and aggression are not the same thing. Whether intentionally or necessarily, abandoning is for the looting mechanic only.

There's nothing worse than an EVE player, generally considered to be top of the food chain in the MMO world, that cannot smacktalk with wit and coherency.

Laws are arbitary.
Break them and die.

Yeah, at the end of the day it isn't a big deal (Easily replaceable). But seems a bit of a strange mechanic to me, would of assumed that it would have just been a free for all concept. Its not like we all make a game of shooting abandoned wrecks haha, but it is ridiculous when god space police enact wrath of death upon you for something so trivial.

I had the exact same thing happen to me. Except in my case it wasn't an abandoned wreck, it was an auto piloting Mammoth. CCP needs to fix this.

No, silly. Mammoths show up white on the overview, not blue.

As for the OP: you shot something that wasn't yours. It wasn't really anyone else's either, but it wasn't yours so it makes sense that you're not allowed to destroy it.

Pre-Retribution it was possible to shoot blue wrecks without Concordokken. If this actually happened it's either a bug or a deliberate change.

Hi,

Your best bet is to file a petition about this; it does seem to be a little odd.

You logged in the wrong server, next time try "Low Sec" or "Null Sec" servers, you're free to do whatever you want.

Remember loosing some noob ships trying this at some point, If those were your wrecks you abandoned yes, if those were from someone else no. But this was back a couple years, haven't had any problem with Concord shooting blue/yellow/white wrecks in null Lol

Thank you for bringing this to your own attention. This is a non issue, please stop wasting our time. Enjoy the consequences of your actions. If you can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen. Safeties are not necessary at all in nullsec. I keep mine on green and haven't been stopped from doing anything at all.

I can confirm you get a pvp flag for shooting wrecks-even blue.
Under CW2 any nonwhite flag triggers a pvp combat flag.
If this is in Hisec Concord is gonna roll your hull over.

I love how everyone is giving him a hard time for shooting a wreck.

Cause that's totaly a reason to lose a ship.

Some of you have really serious PvP issues.
