Give me musical music and I will listen to it

Give me twats in hats (backwards) who compose nothing, steal all, sample everything, dug this, shuffle that and they can sod the right off.

Yours, aye, struggling over the tuning of this friggnin' harp here.

Just a quick question for the eve community out there, does anyone actually listen to eve radio, or new eden radio? If not could you state why as well because i want to start my own radio station that is actually more fitting and appealing to the eve community. I hosted one for Dayz before and i was actually quite successful with it but college started so i dropped it and it was much more difficult to run at the time. If i was to start it i would have more fitting music like maybe a bit of 80's but mainly a lot of falloutish, 30-60's music which i feel would add more to your experience while you are out warping through space instead of that techno/electro music that these stations seem to favor which are much more appealing to playing games like league of legends or dota with. Thank you if you give feedback.

I don't like techno/dubstep/electronic/ect.

I would listen to your station. Leave the 80's out of it though :)

I plan on living forever.......so far, so good.

You seem to think Eve Radio DJs never get drunk and chat with/mock listeners.
You obviously haven't listened to much Eve Radio.

If you want an eve radio show that doesnt play a lot of electronica or dance then i highly recommend DJ Daddy, hes usually on Thursday evenings around 7 or 8pm GMT. Does a good mix of classic rock, various 80s and 90s music and lighter forms of metal, plus hes great about getting requests if he doesnt have them.

As someone said downthread you could also try applying for a DJ slot if you dont like the music the existing DJs play, AFAIK they're still looking for more people to fill up the slots they have.

Think I'll try them out.

For the OP: I've only listened to it a few times but I find EvE radio to not be very immersive or interactive with the EvE environment. I used to love CoH radio because it referenced things in game and it felt like the radio was an extension of the game, instead of just feeling like a local college DJ that has played EvE once or twice while playing his Dubstep.

This could very well vary from DJ to DJ and not EvE radio as a whole

OP: EVE Radio and New Eden Radio are both pretty popular and are eclectic in their music selections. Their DJs are similary quite diverse. Chats with EVE players and devs, contests, giveaways, etc. are also common. And they are both available 24/7, which is great for EVE's international playerbase.

My suggestion to you is to get a slot with either outfit and put your musical stamp on EVE that way. While I can appreciate your eagerness to start your own station, it's probably better if you swallow some of your hubris and contribute in a way that's more sustainable, and significant (reaches more players), in the long run.

30 second video advertisements. Refreshing the video feed so far so given me one for soap, one for a video game, and another for deodorant.

Don't get me wrong, I do wish you success with the station.

Edit: KK well is set it up, ill still develop it a bit but this is just the basic one at the moment.

Edit: KK The way i would have done it is to time consuming unless i actually make a real radio station so ill just prob go to eve radio to become a host. Thanks for the feedack anyway xD.

I've listened to a bit but it seems mostly to be indistinguishable from any other generic internet radio station, some guy inflicting his terrible taste in music on the rest of us and then getting people to type 'o7 m8' in a chat channel to win a prize. Funkybacon is entertaining whenever there's things going on in game to discuss (the show the night of the BoB disbanding with Mittens and Dianabolic as live guests was great) but that seems about it.

Basically what I'm saying is the existing stations seem to be alot of radio and not a lot of Eve.

I am a big Eve-Radio fanboy. whenever I am not on coms I am certainly listening to them. I like the competitions and the prizes and ingame events most of all. Over the years I have won several Billion from them(and donated most of it back as prizes for others)

I will be the first to admit that I am not crazy about ALL of their DJ's but some of them are very very professional and I truly love the shows they do. Others are just drunk on air, and that is OK too =)

Much love to the EVE-Radio crew, you guys have entertained me enormously over the years and as long as you stay on air I will continue to drop by. Rock on!
