"Unlike EVE, AoW offers a traditional (and substantial) PvE component, though, and if for some strange reason you feel the need to reduce AoW to a typical quest grinder, you can. The game's biggest asset is undeniably the sense of immersion it creates."

The "unlike" part is what makes Eve as bad as it could be, fortunately it can be improved to a better game then already is, well one can hope.

I see what you're getting at...

EVE needs to have a totally safe mission running section.

No, just a perfectly safe and without consequences section where you can do whatever you want without anyone being able to do whatever about it, because if they try or do the consequences of their choices are heavier for playing space police than the other way around.

Before they let me on the server I had to indictate that I was aware of the "open pvp" part of being on that server.

This should happen when you log into EVE.

Yeah, cuz knowing what you're signing up for is hard.

You can purchase ready-to-use pilots for PLEXes / ISK. Alt with Thanatos => assigned fighters => instant +1250 dps on main. Or booster alt pilots. If it's not "pay to win" when there is no "pay to win" scheme at all.

Those ready-made pilots however arent seeded by CCP, they are put up for sale by players, and usually have a history/reputation attached, it took time for that player to skill it up.

This box should have to be rechecked every time you log in. It would end all the carebear whines forever.

They made me check a box that said "This is an open Forum where people will rant on and on about how the only real way to play EVE is shooting other players in spaceships, are you ready to accept the same tedious argument challenge."

Funny enough I have played several games where the PvE aspect was a lot more deadly then the PvP aspect of the game.

"Open PVP" and "being exposed to potentianl non-consensual pvp in hisec" are only remotely similar. Get over yourselves.

There's nothing worse than an EVE player, generally considered to be top of the food chain in the MMO world, that cannot smacktalk with wit and coherency.
