Corp history discrimination

Someones employmet history is something that can cause red flags if i see that they have trouble staying in one corp for 24 hours - 2 weeks and its 10-20 corps over the past 3 months. But that dosent mean that the person will instantly be turned away.
I have had recruits before with an awful employment history that would make most recruiters gringe and look for an easy way out of the conversation and still accepted them.
They have to work for it tho. As someone else mentioned people that have been in a lot of corps can have a pretty bad..attitude which really can make everyone in said corp uncomfterbale until the leadership just gives up and removes the person from the corp.
But that being said,i have also had recruits that have had a bad employment history that have come in and settled for years beeing great assets to the corp.

As i mentioned the recruit just have to work for it. Show a good attitude,be open about why you have joined/left so many corps, dont show attitude because your being asked about it and DONT start with the whole "Well because i have been in so many corps im a great asset because i was a director of this and this,or i was the CEO of this corp, or i was the FC for these guys". Statments like that will only make the requiter question why your previus corps failed even tho you were in a leadership position, and for my self personally i would most likely think "Well..if he was actually a good director/CEO/whatever im sure he would have tried harder to make the corp improve as a whole instead of running when there was too much work that needed to be done.

And also remember, most older corps out there dont like it when some random person with X amount of corps in their employment history comes and tells them how they should run their corp because "well when i was a member off ****** the leadership did things like this, and when i was in ****** the leadership did this. So since im brand new here and have no idea how this corp actually work yet because i dont bother to even read up on you i think you should make these changes and put me in charge" Big smile

But bottom line,be patient,be open and be honest with the recruits and eventually someone will be willing to give you a chanse.

Good luck with the corp search Smile

OP - I feel you paid, 2013 will be my 10th year AND ontop of that i setup hi-sec pos for about 10 corps, it can be an arse but most decent corps will look into it, see the truth and be cool.

I actually have been in a few corps compared to # of months played, but what I've figured out (various games etc) is find out what you want to do, you'll soon figure out the people you hang out with and will then have an opportunity to present yourself for corp recruitment, or be given a chance to ask to join.

By that time most likely they will be overlooking your employment history and would be a judge of merit. Which is the point anyways.

GOONS also require all assets to be contracted to one of their interviewers. So they can jump it for you. It is part of the recruitment routine.

GL with that.

Considering youre posting on an alt, your corp history is probably dodgy so im not surprised.

I usually use a lower SP alt to check out a corp before I join with a higher SP character because out of the 5% corps in eve that don't look like utmost crap, 90% are lying.

If i like it and think moving a higher SP alt in would help, I'll do that. Needless to say my main hasn't been in a corp in three years...

i would say a corp that would judge you based solely on your corp history and give you no chance to prove or minimum explain yourself is no corp you want to be a part of.

just sayin

No reason to stay with a corp that you don't enjoy and background checks are borderline worthless. Only really works for the obvious. Awoxing and/or spying is not difficult if you aren't a complete mongoloid. API is almost a formality, since most people only give it a cursory glance at most and its not hard to keep characters separate if you really want to. It's like carebear 0.0 corps that want pvpers, but won't accept "pirates". Any corp that will take you and make you want to stay, probably won't be the paranoid/don't understand game mechanics type.

Killboard/activity kind of go hand in hand and are worthwhile, but corp history, not so much.

Hate being in my position, because most of my corp history has just been corps that ive created and closed >< The rest has been one with a friend that stoped playing (PWNT), one corp in s2n, and just me jumping around in RvB :(
